Question about Thermador SMW272 Electric Double Oven
The loud buzzing sound is due to a faulty magnetron. Please check part#33 in the diagram---
Before disassembling the microwave please unplug it for one hour to let the current drain. Use a metal screwdriver and touch the both terminals of the voltage capacitor to drain current from the capacitor. You can check the magnetron resistance using multimeter, resistance between filament to chassis should be infinite (will show OL on multimeter, on Rx1000 scale) and filament terminal resistance should be less than 1 ohm (on Rx1 scale).
