I had my printer sitting here for a while because i had no black ink in it. I bought a new black ink and tried to print. The printer didnt print anything in the beginning. Now it only prints slight blue with white lines. I tried head cleaning several times it didnt work. Head alignment didnt print any lines but one light blue dashed line at the end. Any help please!!!!

if u can't clean the print head and there is ink in the cartridge, then a new printer is in the plan.
try cleaning head by placing a pad soaked in alcohol (not Tequila) on the head for a while then gently wiping it clean. If u can remove other parts that r full of ink to clean them do that - careful that ink will get everywhere.
what are you trying to print in black? the best way to test out a black ink is to open word pad and type some thing random and print it and see if that works. if you have a all in one printer u might have 2 inks one color and one black in the printer
Check the print properties and verify the black ink cartridge still has ink in it.
Otherwise, you may have a bad ink cartridge. If the cartridge has not been used for a while, the ink gums up the nozzle. You can try cleaning the ink cartridge and slot with alcohol. However, new color and black cartridges may be the best solution.
You should be able to see nozzle check, click it and follow the prompt.
Line patterns that corresponds to the colors of the ink cartridges
would be printed. If breaks on the patterns appear, continue with head cleaning. Try to do this about 3 times until
all patterns are complete.
hi, i was having the exact same problem with my printer. and i also tried reinstalling the driver. after reading your post i decided to see if the printing problem occurred when i used the other colors, and it looks like it's only a problem with the black ink. i printed out a sheet with the text in red and another in blue and they came out perfectly. but the black grid that surrounded the blue text, still looked problematic.
so... that means that the black ink is the problem. i haven't tried putting in a new cartridge. did you say that your problem occurred after you put in a new black cartridge, or did you try putting in a new black cartridge and you still had the same problem?
This could be to several reasons: 1# The black cart contains blue ink-> Change to a brand new cart.
2# The cart assy has a bottom that is a foil. Sometimes this foil leaks. Ink will mingle: You need a new cart assy.
Run the cleaning cycle twice after inserting a brand new bk ink cart and print out a test print. If you still see blue instead of bk the assy is leaking. BTW the bk is darker than blue (or better cyan). You must see bk! So it seems to be the prob with the right ink....
