Question about Kenmore Freezer 20.6 cu. ft. Upright Freezer
This could be a temperature alarm,, indication of a bad control board, low freon, or a number of things, like a bad defrost cycle. My advice would be to contact a Sear's Appliance Repair Center and see what they think is going on. They're the guys that service them, and they would have a better chance of knowing than anyone else.
Sear's support site is temporarily down due to service upgrades, but they should be back soon.
Wish there was a more definitive answer, but there just isn't, in this case.

Is it possible the door has not been closed at some point?
If so they can build up with ice in the evaporator which the defrost system cannot handle....Try a manual defrost.
Depending on where the unit is installed high ambient temperature can drop the internal temp enough to set the alarm off though they will still freeze sufficiently
