I have a New World Double oven, dual fuel range cooker - NW 90DFD0 The main oven isn't heating up.

Hello Ally;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You may not have a problem. Normally your oven will rise about 40 degrees F. above the set temperature and then shut down, until the oven temperature falls 40 degrees F. below the set temperature, then the oven turns back on.

Your oven temperature is controlled by you oven thermocouple.

You also have a high temperature limit switch, which turns the fan on when you go too far above the set temperature to vent the oven. This may be bad.

Electrolux oven gets hot then switches off

Hey Richard Skerritt, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Electrolux oven will shut off once it becomes hot and you have recently changed the thermocouple. This sounds like a possible issue with your thermostat or control panel. If there is a slight miscommunication within your oven you may be able to perform a reset which will help clear any miscommunication. If you flip your household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes that is the best way to reset your oven. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hi When I try to light the gas oven, it will light but as soon as I release the button the flame goes out

Are you giving the thermocouple time to warm up?
You have to hold the oven knob in for a while to warm the thermocouple before the oven will stay alight. If you are doing this then the thermocouple needs replacing.

See my other posts for a link and price as it was at that time.

Our New World gas oven is just on two years old (i think) when we use the grill it keeps clicking and then it just shuts itself off as though there is no gas getting to it. The pilot light will continue...

If the grill is clicking because you are holding the ignition button, which I'm asuming you are because the grill will not light then the thermocouple on the grill is broken.

goto but unfortunately you'll have to ask them if they have any grill thermocouples for this model as I can't find them anymore only thermocouples for the oven.
