1-3-2 is indeed a Memory error.

The Diag LEDs on the front panel should be 34 too

Try each RAM module individually, and insure that when you seat the ram, you do the following:

  1. Unplug power then press and hold power cord for 10 seconds to bleed stored power in MB.
  2. Remove ram using levers on slots,
  3. When installing ram, ensure the levers are back, press firmly with both thumbs to seat RAM until levers snap up and lock, do not pull the levers into locked position
  4. restart system.
If problem goes away with one RAM module, replace that RAM, if problem exists will all RAM in all slots, then replace Motherboard

Hi,

Well its maybe the memory, but can you just make the beep code sequence is 1-3-2 as memory issues are usually 1-3-1 for your PC.

Now below all depends if your still in warranty, if you are contact Dell direct, if not open the case up and follow below.

If it is 1-3-1 then it is the memory, if you have two cards then take both out and then put them both back in making sure they are seated properly and boot up.

If the problem persists then its now trial and error, take one out and boot, if that doesn't work, put the same one in the other slot, if that doesn't work try the other card until the beeps go.

Now if thebeeps don't go you may have a faulty motherboard.

Let me know how it goes...!

Cheers

I entered my restore disk after receiving message on hard drive on the dimension 9150. Got message

Hmmm, what concerns me is that your system BIOS is not discovering any of your SATA Drives, That sounds like an Issue in your motherboard not your OS. I would go into your BIOS settings and look for a link that says reset bios to factory defaults, then try and boot again without the recovery disk. Please keep me posted on what happened if this does not we will trouble shoot more.

A few problems with my dell 9150. 1 Windows boots up but screen shows garbled then turns black and monitor into power save mode. I tried a complete system recovery, still the same.

I would try starting up in VGA mode (tap F8 at the splash screen and choose VGA mode from the menu)

VGA mode will load very few drivers and a generic video driver into Windows. From there you may be able to go to a website and download the latest (or even rolled back) drivers. Or you can uninstall and reinstall the drivers from the Device Manager (in the control panel)

Yes you can. Your best is to use the largest and best ram in the number one slot. I would remove ALL the ram and start with the 2 gig in the first slot - then add others until you get the error message - remove that one and keep the rest.

The mother board is on its way out, eventually you will need to replace it. Before you do check the power supply, if you can get hold of one, test it and see what happens, you could also take it to your local pc repair shop and ask them if they could test it for you, if it does work fine then you will need a new power supply.

Computer wont turn on

There are over 20 bleep codes, it sounds like morse code with short & long bleeps, these bleeps are for on board memory, remove RAM from slots & re instal one at a time in another compatable machine to check if RAM is OK, check power pack, also check power switch connection on front panel conection block on mobo
