SOURCE: How does it work?

Most units of this type make steam by heating water that is placed in a canister. Other than the place you attach the "hose", there should be only one other place on the body of the unit that opens up... that's most probably where the water goes in. Put water into a measuring cup, graduated cylinder, filling to known point. Then pour water into unit until 1/2" below fill hole. Note on measuring cup how much you used. This is the unit's capacity. Put "lid" or "cap" back on, plug unit into wall and wait a little while. Voila! Steam.

I have a Euro-Pro steam cleaner model SC410. The water heats up fine, but no steam comes out of the hose. Need wiring schematic to see if wired correctly. Any suggestion?

The wiring won't have changed unless someone was fiddling with it. If the water heats up, that means the element is fine. So the problem is whatever release the steam.

If the spray function has quit working on the carpet cleaner, check to make sure there is a full tank of water. If the water level is adequate, check the position of the gasket on the bottom of the water tank assembly. The gasket can become lodged, damaged, or removed.
