Hello,

you cannot get rid of the thin blue line screen just like that. The thin blue line on your screen is a fault that can be fixed by a repair man or by some one that has electronic repair idea. Its not something you can get rid of with a remote control or settings.

Good luck.

My SyncMaster 2233 has problem, it has two straight lines, one blue, one pink, across the screen, from top to the bottom. I'd like to know how to get rid of it.

If the lines are very thin, they are broken pixels. You have to replace the monitor. I've heard of people taking their finger and trying to rub the lines out, but I have never had success with this before.

How do i get rid of a dark thin line going across my lap top ???

That cannot be repaired as the screen on your notebook has layers and between those layers gas is compressed within thin columns. In your case your screen got a minute leak in one of the columns and now that column is unable to produce image. Hence, It can't be repaired. You have to change the entire screen.

Blue verticle line is displayin

The blue line is most likely the result of your monitor's screen going bad. One thing you can try is disconnecting and re-connecting your video cables to make sure it's tight and has a good connection. This probably won't help, but it's worth a try. You may also want to connect the monitor to another computer to see if the blue line stays, or goes. If the blue line stays with another computer connected, the problem is inside the monitor. If the line goes away, you should replace/repair your computer's video card and/or cable. Otherwise, you need to replace/repair your LG monitor.

PT-47WX, Blue streaks across the screen?

It is not a bulb. It is a picture tube. If there are thin blue lines across the entire screen, not just the edges, and the picture itself looks too blue, it means that the blue picture tube is being driven too hard. This could be because the blue screen voltage is too high, the boost voltage on the blue picture tube is too low, or the video output is leaky or shorted. If the picture has what looks like blue arcs and double images on one or more sides of the picture, it means that one of your convergence IC's has burned out and needs to be replaced. These are things that should be tested and serviced by a qualified tech, so allow an experienced tech to handle it for you.

Vertical, pencil-thin blue line appears after 10 minutes of viewing (any source)

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
