Question about Fujitsu ScanSnap Manager

Scansnap Scanner stops suddenly when scanning multiple pages and "hangs" for a little while, stating that it's scanning the same page, before giving an error message saying that it is offline. When scanning is attempted again, we get "Undefined error occurred (0x80004005). A probable cause is that the system is unstable. Reboot the system. If this does not resolve the problem, contact the store where you purchased the scanner or an authorized service provider." Sometimes reboot it "resets"it for a little while until the same cycle is repeated, sometimes we get the error again straightaway. The scanner has a shared switch allowing two machines to share the same scanner. This problem has only occurred within the last week and is affecting both PCs it is connected to.

I had this problem happen also and found that it was related to Acronis True Image Home 2011. When this program was uninstalled, the problem went away. I had even rebuilt the Windows 7-64 bit OS and the problem existed until Acronis was again removed.

SOURCE: When I try to scan,

I just fixed it. Uninstall the application by choosing applications and finding scansnap. Drag the folder to the trash. power down your scanner and unplug the USB. Go to the Fujitsu website and download the software again and reinstall it. Plug in the power and USB into your scanner and everything should work fine.

How do I stop the scanner from scanning the blank back of the page?


Somewhere in the settings for the scanner it is set to scan both sides. You need to go into the menu and change to one sided scanning. Another possibility is that you could be putting the document to be scanned in backwards.

Scans are coming out upside down


First, are you putting the pages to be scanned in upside down. If not, do so. I sometimes encounter this problem but use the free version of Adobe that comes with the scanner to turn the scanned pages right side up. Hope this helps.

How do i scan multiple pages and sav it to my documents. It seems like i am only able to scan and save one page at a time


Hi

If you have a Top feeder on the scanner, you can scan mutiple pages. Change the setting of the scanned file to pdf file (not JPEG) by going to the scanner icon and change the type of file you want to scan. Scan it as PDF FILE and then it will scan multiple pages. Regards

Scanner only scans top page although set on duplex setting.


Switch the little button on top of the scanner next to the 3 buttons. This switches between 1 page or multiple page.

How do i delete error pages after scaanning?


I changed the settings from duplex (double sided) scanning to simplex (single sided) scanning under the settings tab in the scansnap organiser. this was ok since i had all one-sided documents to scan. you would need to reverse this settings change anytime you have a double-sided document to scan.

How do I add multiple pages to one scanned doucment?


Open your Adobe Acrobat (e.g., 9.0 Pro), load your pages into the document feeder (fewer than 30 at a time), then ask Adobe Acrobat to create PDF from scanner (File/Create PDF/From Scanner). Canon MP530 as the scanner and click OK. Works like a charm!

Scanner is not reading multiple pages...


Check your scanning software settings. If you are getting only one file output, then you must have chosen 'multipage' option.

Canon Dr-5010C Scanner to Pc problems.


Are other formats, like JPG, working okay? Unselect multiple pages so that you get on image per sheet. Reinstall scanning software after a 'scandisk' command.
