Hi Waid,
I have a similar problem with a Rado. Itook out the stem and can't get it back in. How were you able to solve your problem? Would you send me an e-mail and let me know? Thanks. denvergems@yahoo.com
your problem is in setting lever, when the setting lever is jumping the stem cannot get back and lock, you better unscrew the complete barrel drum bridge plate take it out ,and the winding pinion is expose, take the winding gear and the setting lever is expose then arrange the alignment, align the winding pinion to the setting lever, alignment is ok.back bridge plate and screw,,make some winding of the crown, let see rachet wheel can turn transmission wheel of complete barrel drum,if can then checked the stem if already lock.,if lock already the job is done,...email if you some question regarding a watch ;lacarontito@yahoo.com

I was reading the battery replacement procedures for the Garmin Forerunner 50 and have an alternate observation.
To remove the spring clip that hold in the battery and plastic, place your thumb over the middle of the spring and gently press and slide the spring in a 7:30 to 1:30 direction. The spring pops out and the battery can be removed. NO PRYING IS NECESARY. Replace the battery. The spring is replaced by setting the 7:30 end in place and then sliding the 1:30 end in to lock it.(similar to the removal but in reverse). I hope this helps!
