My printer is not working, i try to print a document and it doesn't print it.

Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Wireless printing doesn't work


Is the printer set as default in the printers? I need more info to give a solution. Is the printer offline? Try to delete the printer and re-add in software. What message do you get when you try to print to printer? Are your documents in Que to be printed? If so Delete /cancel and try to print again.

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.


If that doesn't help, please try this approach:

  1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
  2. Go to Programs.
  3. Go to Lexmark 2600 Series folder.
  4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Align to fix blurry edges. Your printer will then print a page and aligning your print cartridges. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print/scan again.

When printing, sentences over lap so the document is unreadable. Also it may only print the first line of a document.


Hi,

I've seen word documents do this sometimes and fixing it has worked differently each time.

1) Open the document and press CTRL + A (select all) on the keyboard and then CTRL + C (copy), then start a new document and press CTRL + V (paste). Save the new document as something different and try printing again.

2) Open the document again and select all and copy again,but this time open wordpad (a different program to Microsoft Word) by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > Wordpad, and paste the text into wordpad. This may change some of the formatting. Now, select all again, and copy, and start a new word document and paste.

Copying the text out of word and back in seems to work more often. Sometimes the best program to copy out to is notepad, but you lose pretty much all of the formatting when you copy back into word.

3) If this doesn't work, you could try to update your printer drivers, and if that doesn't work, as a last resort, you can delete the printer and create it again via the Control Panel > Printers.

HP C4480 reporting "incompatible print


This issue can often be fixed by reseating or cleaning the print cartridges. But if that doesn't work you can try the document in the link provided below and follow the troubleshooting steps. A workaround is also provided at the bottom of the document. If all the troubleshooting steps in this document have been followed and nothing works, I'm afraid the printer has to be serviced.

Printer not activated-error code 30


Sometimes, you may get printer not activated - error code 30 when you try to print using your printer. It may occur when you try to print a PDF document. Sometimes, your Antivirus scripts block you from generating the document and you may have to face this issue. If you have installed Antivirus software and you have encountered "Printer not activated" error, you need to disable script blocking. If this does not resolve the issue or you do not have installed Antivirus, you need to change the Calyx Document Converter printer settings. If it also doesn't work, you need to reinstall the printer driver in your system.

It might be time to, but try these first:

(1) Try rebooting the computer (Press Ctrl+Alt+Del>Shutdown>Shutdown OR press and hold the power button down on the front of the workstation/computer/tower/CPU until the unit turns OFF)

(2) If that doesn’t work, then try clearing the print queue: Start>Settings>Printers>Double-click on the printer>Right-click on the print job(s) and click cancel/delete/purge documents and try reprinting a document

(3) If that doesn’t work, then try a power cycle: Try turning the printer off, then unplug the power supply from the printer, then unplug the USB cable from the printer then the back of the computer; wait 30 second; then plug the USB cable back into the computer, then back into the printer then plug the power supply back into the printer and turn it on – run a test print

(4) Run a Test Print: Start>Settings>Printers>Right-click on the printer>Properties>Print Test Page

Print 5x7 invitations on my 950?


Change the size of the document on word to a standard sized document - such as 8-1/2 x 11. Then when you go to print the documents, set the printing preferences to print on 5x7 paper. That should do the trick.
