Question about Palm TX Handheld

Hi! I bought a referbished TX from you in January of 2009 (I think). It has been working great. However, the other day when I turned it on, the digitizer wouldn't work. Buttons work, everything else seems to be fine, just cant use the stylus to maneuver around. Can you give me an estimate on repair? Thanks, Ramona Andrews

Have you tried to reset the TX?

First, save your data:

then reset:

While holding the Power button, use the tip of the stylus (or a similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press and release the RESET button inside the hole on the back of your device.
The RESET button may be somewhere else on the back of your particular device.
First you'll see a palmOne or Palm logo and a progress bar. Keep holding Power.
Then you'll see a grey circular Palm PowereWhen the warning appears, press Up to confirm the hard reset.
If a language selection screen appears, select the same language you selected for your desktop softwared logo. Now you can release Power.

Then sync it to you PC.

My BTM 630 starts a very anoying noice after I raise the volume up from 13. I believe it has to do with the ventilation. Do you have any idea?

This is normal stuff with the cheaper stuff. You need to the lube the joint all the time to get rid of the noise. Contact you local walmart they will get you in touch with their service provider. Best of luck

It's possible that the screen itself went defective or the controller board for the screen. It's best to use the warranty at this point because the replacement board or screen panel maybe somewhat expensive. Being that it's only 8 month old, manufacture warranty shouldn't be an issue.

Hi there, First thing you want to do is oil all the spots as noted in your manual. Turn the hand wheel slowly as to get the oil in all the nooks and crannies. Get it a day and then re-oil it again. I think it just needs a bit of tlc and patience to get it working.

I FIXED IT!!! …LOL

All you have to do is to do a factory reset on everything, but I thing mostly on your 605. I think what had happened is after I set everything up for the first time, it worked great. As the days when on I started to play with all of the futures the 605 and the TV had to offer. I was turning them on and off to see what everything did. What I think I did was, I turned on something in the 605 that the TV did not know how to cope with. If I had to guess, I think it is the Lip-sink feature (Spelling?) in the 605.

Anyway disconnect everything, look in your manuals of the TV and the 605 to see how to do the factory reset on both. Then turn your TV on. After it does it’s start up for the first time (again), start connecting the 605.

It has been working great for me after I did this. Do not count on help from the people you bought it from or the people who made it. This stuff is so new they do not really know how to fix it.
