Front panel audio connection to the asus motherboard
you seem to have found what i seek. im looking for a schematic for my dell latitude d600 to determine which pins of the 9 or so pin battery connection on the mother board require which voltages and or resistances to both supply the 11.1v battery voltage to run the computer, and the other signals voltages resistances etc from the two circuit borads inside the battery case that tell the computer to use the perfectly good fully charged li battery cells or not depending on number of charge cycles. my batttery stopped putting the 11.1 v, it still has alive and well inside, out to the computer mobo, and has stopped charging, or so the computer says, eventhough its fully charged, and yet will not run the computer. i ordered another battery and know why dell in thier infinite though misguided wisdom decided to prematurely kill the good batteries to avoid possible overheating and exploding. but i want for my own knowledge to determine how they are killing the output and possibly design my own circuit that does what they actually needed and meant to do, rather than have the number of charge cycles rule. id just detect battery temperature and ability to charge, and eliminate any counting of charge cycles which is useless, and results in killing perfectly good batteries for no reason. do you know what numberds i actually need to find a schematic. each time i attempt to search with the computer model number, i find schematics of other mfgrs completely different equipment with d600 in the model number, or rar files i cant open, and usually with added notes that downloading this file can harm my computer.
i have always built my own desk tops and fear no electronic circuit but software and file suffixes and wanings of damage to my computer and various types of files apparantly engineered only to confound and confuse give me a little trouble. i started in electronics at a time when each simple circuit stage was built around a single huge glass tube the size of a body builders forearm. and now im working on entire computers with less surface area than one of those tubes. but back when those tubes ruled, manufacturers were trying to build the best longest lasting curcuits they could and drew schematics that actually were intended to be capable of being read by any good tech, and were easy to find with model number, of the equipment. given a schematic i can repair most anything but i cannot find the schematic. but current circuits are desigend to purposely fail for no reason that makes sense so the manufacturer can sell more to replace them, and schematic are well disguised not only in the way thier drawn and marked but even where they are located. ive learned to read nearly all schematics and interpret any schematic symbol, but locating schematics online and getting them to my computer, is difficult for me, eventhough i have desigened and built my own electronic circuits my self all my life.
