HI,

If the pictures are dark and fuzzy then its a CCD issue. You will have to get it repaired and thats the only solution.Another thing
I suspect you have somehow gotten the ISO setting set up higher than the lowest one.Make sure it is set to the lowest (80) value. This should give you noise free shots.

Please don't forget to rate or accept the solution.

Goodluck..

Please send it back to sony.Sony used to provide free service for this issue in 2006.So there are a few chances that they might give you s free service or they may charge you a little less.

If you need anymore help let me know. Please don't forget to accept the solution.

Refer to the manual for proper flash settings. If you don't have the manual below is a link for an on line manual. If it still doesn't work properly after you have the correct settings, take it in for a cleaning service and have them check the flash to see if it's gone out.

Good call on the battery. Also there is a 24mb internal memory chip that could be failing.

Check your battery level. If the battery is low, the flash cannot operate.

I cant store picture in internal memory .and delete the folder in internal maemory. hw can create under internal memory.

Take out memory card, if any, from Sony DSC-S650 camera memory slot
Go to Menu, Settings and Format memory
This will delete all picture files in internal memory and refresh it for next few pictures.
Internal memory is not big to store many pictures, use memory stick in camera to store many many pictures.

It is problem of lens mechanism and only solution is to replace lens assembly. Local camera repair shop will help you to replace lens assembly because it is not user level repair.

My daughter tries to take pictures with her Sony Cyber-shot S650, but all she gets are blurry pictures. What can she do to fix the problem. She has been taking pictures all along with no problem.

She may have shut off the automatic setting for the flash. This will cause blurry shots in darker areas. See if her pix outside in day light are okay. If so, the main wheel on the back of your Sony (I believe it's the top of the wheel) controls the flash. Be sure that is set to on or automatic. Let me know.
