Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES3 door lock keeps clicking when open or closed and panel flashes partial digits

Ok... the short story:
door lock keep clicking trying to catch the door loop over and over and over and the 3 digit read-out flashes in-sync partial digits...

the long story:
i think i had a power outage-- because my copier is dead...
around the same time the washer starting acting up first it wouldnt open and flashed a whole lot of lights ... i kinda forced it open because of that or because of my not so subtle manuevers with a screwdriver I busted the catch on the door lock --- which i replaced with a new assembly--- i didn't replace the door loop but i prolly should --- then i tried the option&select to unlock and the code changed from digits to partial something like upside down 'L" for all three digits..

now the machine keeps clicking the door lock every 2 seconds over and over when the door is open or closed...

i dont think i screwed up plugging in the three wiring harnesses but they could have come off at the board -- or worse off the control board is fried...

suggestions: -- new control board ($150) might make me scrap the machine even though its less than 6 months old --- but is out of warranty -- i bought it and it sat without use when i was building the house. ...

any ideas--- please help or else my girlfriend will finally leave me for wearing the same underwear 4 weeks running.... :(

Why does my Hotpoint ff187e frost free fridge freezer lights flash and the alarm sound even after reseting them as per manual. rest them ok for a while but then restart what's the problem?

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

Factory security system intermittently going off. Wondering if it is a bad sensor or switch. Does the door LED flash a code? 8 long flashes followed with normal short flashes.

CAR ALARM ISSUES

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

There are few help links with solutions, to troubleshoot these types of problems. I suggest going through these links.

My Frigidaire electric range/oven started making mechanical clicking or ticking sounds all of a sudden and a "locked" light keeps flashing weakly and the going out. When I open the oven door the...

Hi mike_glenn,

Ok, do the following:

1) Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button on the oven until you hear a beep and the word "OFF" disappears from the display. The word "Lock" will remain in the display until the door lock is disengaged, which could take up to 10 to 15 seconds.

-or-

2) Find the main circuit breaker for your oven. Turn it off for fifteen minutes, then flip it back on. This should allow the door latch to open.

I hope this helps

Kind Regards

Oven lock stuck in locked position and oven door won't close - was starting self cleaning and then checked to see if door was locked and door opened, but lock engaged, and now oven door won't shut. ...

Hello there:
This is a very common issue with these appliances whenever the cleaning cycle is interrupted this normally is the result.
So what you will need to do is to first unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and leave it alone for 1 hour this allows the internal self reset feature to reset the oven.
once the hour has elapsed plug it back in and you should hear a audiable click within about 5 min or if you have a cancel button press it and you should be able to continue from there okHopethis is very helpful for you Please keep me posted ok
Best regards mike

Frigidaire affinity door will not lock when door is closed or register door is not closed when open

Hi,
Make sure you are allowing the washer to completely finish its cycle before opening the door. It is normal for the door to lock at the end of a cycle. The locking mechanism keeps owners from opening the door before all of the water has been drained. If the door on the washer is locked, select the "Drain" or "Spin" options on the front-load washer. This will completely drain the water from the system and unlock the door, allowing you to open it.

My Fridgidare washer Model #GLTF2940ES3 keeps flashing an "E70" error code. Could someone please tell me what this means?

Hello there :
this 70 code has 2 possible causes
(1) a control board which might be in need of replacement. (costly to replace )
(2) the door lock assembly which could be bad. (fairly cheep and simple to replace ).

I would first shoot for the lesser (least costly of the two) and go with the door lock and this will be the problem if not this controle board can be costly to replace ok ?
I hope that this has helped you out
best regards michael

F9 Code after power outage - Model JGR8855ADS

Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not in the door.

You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever handle also can cause this type of condition.

If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any self cleaning modes.
