E-bay or call Kenwoods 1800 #. You can get the # from gethuman.com or google it.
Tell kenwood parts dept your model # and they should be able to hook you up.

Hi there. I have an old KAC-9020 amp, but it is in very good condition and I wouldn't like to see it go to waste. However, the input for the amp is an 8 pin DIN cable. I could custom wire an adapter if I...

Julian,

I found the owner's manual on the Kenwood website. Please visit the link below:
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/File/Global/Consumer/Manuals/kac9020.pdf

You'll notice that the plug in the diagram is plugged to receiver/tuner/car stereo. Apparently it's a common plug/setup for the Kenwood stereos that have this type of output plug. You would just need to find any Kenwood car stereo that has this output to get the wiring of the plug if you wish to use this amp with a different car stereo. (Or just get a Kenwood car stereo that has this type of output). Good Luck.

How do I get my radio to work? All I hear is static and I just installed my sony xplood deck. My antena goes up and down every time i turn my stereo on but radio isnt working

Plug in the antenna jack into the antenna hole in back of radio. Depending on the car you may need an antenna adapter. Cars that need antenna adapters are VW's, Nissans, New Honda's.

No radio reception

MIght be an antena problem. Cheapest a quickest way to find out if the problem, your local autoparts store will sell a cheap replacement antena. Pull out stereo use this antena to check if more stations are picked up or use speaker wire about a foot or so in lenght and stick the wire in the antena port of the radio and see if you pick up stations, if so then your antena needs replacing.

I have Pioneer Amplifier with Phono Inputs. Also I have an Akai stereo Equalizer. I want to connect my Turntable to the pioneer amplifier through Akai stereo Equalizer to have a better sound quality. Is it...

hook the turntable "directly" up to the "phono" inputs. if it sounds normal this way, and not loud and distorted, then you have to plug the turntable up that way, directly to the reciever's phono input.

you can hook the eq up through the "tape in/out" jacks.

take the tape record out jacks, and hook them up to the input of the eq, and take the tape play input jacks and hook them up to the output of the eq. then, to use toe eq, select whatever input you want eq'ed, while also selecting "tape monitor"

Aux location

There is a RCA cable that comes off the back of the radio and also another cable for 3.5mm (mini-stereo jack) that also comes off the back of the radio. The RCA jacks can be used for "AUX" or "Sub-woofer" and the 3.5mm jack is just for "AUX". Your ipod can use the audio output jack or the headphone jack and plug that into the 3.5 mm jack on the back of the radio. You will need a "3.5mm male" to "3.5mm male" stereo cord that can be purchased at Radio Shack or Best Buy. Then you select "AUX" on the display with the source button to listen to it. You may need to go into the menu and activate the "AUX" input. Check your owners manual for details.

Can I plug my MP3 player into the aux. socket on my car radio, with the appropriate cable and play the stored music?

You should be able to do that as long as you have the right cable.

Most of the mp3 players have a "mini-stereo" jack (3.5mm) and some car stereos have the same type of jack for "aux" input, and others car stereos have RCA jacks for the "aux" input.

Even if the jacks are not the same type, you can use an adapter cable that converts the mini-stereo jack to an RCA jack. You can find them at many places like Best Buy, Circuit City or Radio Shack.

Depending on the type of car stereo you have, you would normally press the source button to change between the tuner, cd player, aux or whatever you may have connected to the stereo. You may even have a seperate button to press for the "aux" input.

I hope this was helpful to you, if you need more information just ask, and please give more info on the type of mp3 player and the make and model number of the car stereo.
