Question about HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
First the HP Photosmart All-in-One gave me an "offline", now and "error" in the Control panel. How do I make it online again? This all started when the USB plug was removed..
If unplugging the USB cord and powering down both the computer and printer didn't work, try removing all the ink cartridges from the printer, power it down again. When you power back up, wait for the message that tells you cartridge error or something about missing or empty cartridges, you'll understand once you try this. Then put the ink cartridges (black and all!) back into the printer, close the cover and let the printer prep itself. this worked for me!

Turn off the printer and the computer. Plug the usb cable back in. Make sure it is securely plugged in on both ends. Turn the printer back on and restart your computer. It should be back online.
