- This is the second time this has happened to me. Bought a replacement the first time thinking I just destroyed it. This time I have been much more gentle, but in 4 months the same issue of no/slow reads on pins and no scanning possible. This is crazy! I can't go 6 weeks without a rangefinder.....anyone try to fix this on their own?- dieselboltsSep 01, 2008
- Yes, I have the same problem and for $399.00, pretty pissed off about this. My Pinseeker 1500 does not show distance eventhough the pin is clearly visible with no background. This is frustrating. It was working so good and considered it my best buy of the year. After 3 months, it stops working. Changed the battery and still has the same problem. - GuestAug 13, 2008

According to Bushnell, the optical lense can come out of alignment. This can happen due to the unit getting bounced around during transport, shipping, in the golf cart etc... (If you gently drop it on the grass while trying hit your shot...)
The mis-alignment causes the longer distances to not work.
Bushnell suggest you send the unit in for re-alignment. The product comes with 2 year warranty and will cost only $10 of return in most cases to get it fixed. It takes about 3 to 6 weeks to complete the process.

I have the same problem with my 1500 rangefinder. It will not give me yardage over 150 yards.

I am having the same problem with my 1500. Have tried 2 new batteries and it still will not consistantly pick up anything past 150 yards. Not even a house or building much less a flag pole. Anyone have ideas.
