My LG IS620 wont turn on because i dropped it in water what can i do to fix it?

Did you try removing the battery and wiping everying down in and out with rubbing alcohol and then let the phone sit in the rice for 24 hours?

Other than that, my only suggestion would be to open the phone apart and clean all the parts inside and make sure everything is dry.

Using Bluetooth Technology to Connect Laptop and Cell Phone

Many of you get your mobile phone wet by one way or another. You worry as you mistakenly drop your mobile phone in water. It can also get wet if you are out in a heavy rain. However, there is no need to panic. It is possible to save your wet mobile phone by quickly repairing it. In order to save your mobile phone from water damage, you can consider these easy and simple solutions:
Act rapidly :
The first thing you have to do in order to save your wet mobile phone is to act rapidly. Quickly remove all the detachable parts as well as covers possible such as the back cover, battery, the SIM card, memory card etc. Next, take a piece of cloth or a tissue paper to wipe the excess water you are able to notice within the mobile phone. Make sure that you dry it completely. If you don' t do this, the water inside the mobile phone will begin to evaporate and gather in places which will be difficult to reach.
This will save your wet mobile phone and it will start working if it was under water for just a little while.
Using a hairdryer :
Take a hairdryer and begin drying the mobile phone while giving more consideration to the place where the battery is located. The battery housing usually consists of tiny holes to let in air (so giving more space for water) inside the mobile phone.
Make sure that you are not holding the hairdryer very near to the mobile phone. Keeping it too close to the mobile phone may harm the electrical mechanism of the mobile phone. Keep on drying the mobile phone from a safe distance for about twenty to thirty minutes.
If solution number 1 and solution number 2 don't work, try solution number 3.
Drying for a long time:
Take off the covers as well as battery from the mobile phone. Put the phone in a dry as well as warm place to let the water inside the phone evaporate gradually from the little holes in the mobile phone.

I've put my Olympus inside the U-box of my motorbike and I forgot to take it out the whole night, in the morning, I tried to switch on, it's not working anymore.

Maybe some water got in it. Take out the batteries and memory card. Use a Qtip to wipe inside those cavities. If you can, remove the screws and use the Qtip in any other area you can get to. Leave the camera apart in a dry space for a couple of hours. Re-assemble. Just an idea, but it works for cell phones!

Same problem. dropped in water. cannot find service.

The first thing you need to do is remove the battery and also the sim card from your phone.Next dry your phone. You can make the use of a towel to remove as much of the water as soon as possible, so you can save it from getting into the phone. Shake it out without dropping it, then use a towel.Next make the use of a vacuum cleaner for up to 20 minutes in each accessible area of the phone.Be careful not to hold the vacuum too close to the phone.Using the vacuum cleaner is the fastest method and can completely dry out your phone and get it working in thirty minutes. Leave the phone in a bowl or bag of rice overnight the rice would absorb any remaining moisture.

Now test your phone if you still face the issue then you will have to take your phone apart and clean the inside with a towel. If the phone is under warranty then do not do this because it will void the warranty. You will have to send this to repair if it is under warranty.

If you need any more help let me know.

Thank you.

My Phone got wet, and the screen is starting to get dimmer.

You're right in thinking it will cause you worse problems in the future. However if you take all the removable parts off, then give the phone a good 'shake dry' and try pushing down slightly on the screen to push out the water, then use an hair dryer on low heat to dry it, you might be lucky and save your phone from death.
Unfortunatly water and electricity (AC/DC) don't go well together.
Good luck.

Phone will not turn on

If you had gotten your phone wet, even having the phone sitting on your sink while you showered, or talked on it in the rain... any moisture at all can fry your phone if it is still wet when you power it on.

The internal components can get wet also without activating the water mark, example- water enters the phone through the keypad. In this case, Verizon will still honor the warranty as long as the water mark on the phone is not showing liquid damage.

If you water damage your phone, and it works fine, problems can arise months down the line from corrosion on the inside. If you can open the phone up, you can take some alcohol and clean off the corrosion in some cases.
