First thing checked is fuse and power supply, not those

Have already tried the power cord etc and it's not globe, it's projector not powering up, i.e. nothing happens, no warning lights nothing and the power point is fine, it's a problem in projector. It only occurred the morning after changing to using HDMI connection, had been fine the night before using whilst utilizing HDMI

Try to use a new power cord and remove then reconnect the lamp. If this does not work, try a new lamp or a lamp from another projector if available for testing.

sounds like its more mechanical or electronic in nature if a new lamp did not help. I suspect that an internal component has gone down and may need servicing already to have it fully checked. if you've been trying to power it on using the power on button, it may be a good idea to try using a remote to power it on as there may be a problem with the switch itself.

Hello

OK, firstly i need to state that there is mainly just 2 components which usually gets faulty on projectors. Firstly the bulb, which gets worn out.

Secondly, the power supply. The damage to the power supply is usually due to an overheating issue, or in some instances, a power surge.

I would suggest that you take the unit in to point of purchase, if still in warranty get it replaced, otherwise you will need to have a look at the fuse, and the power supply.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards
Andrea

Why is my epson ex5200 not recognizing HDMI all of the sudden

Check to make sure you're HDMI source is turned on first. (example: Cable Box, Blu-Ray Player)

If you haven't changed any configurations on your projector, you might check the physical connection of the HDMI cable.

You might also try to disconnect the HDMI, then do a factory reset on your projector, and then re-connect the HDMI cable.

The problem with amps is they generate lots of heat when they are working and semi-conductors don't like heat, so overtime they fail. In your case either somekind of protection circuit has stopped an overload or one of the main semi-conductors that does the work has failed. It's off to the repair shop with it!

Audio doesnt come thru my hdmi cable from the dvd player. And video doesnt go thru hdmi cable to projector. Have to run rca cables to both

Hi there
Check your DVD players' settings/manual to ensure the HDMI port is the default output port. Also confirm that both audio and video are enabled on that HDMI channel as it can be separated to be only video or only audio in a lot of cases.
Confirm you are at least getting video out from the DVD with a direct connection to your projector with the HDMI cable.
If video is making it to the projector direct from the DVD, you will need to confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input if there isn't a specific input selection for it. Connect your DVD to the amp and your amp to the projector and test again that you are still getting video AT LEAST. This will help narrow down which device is not playing the HDMI game if you still have issues at this point.
To sum up;
Confirm HDMI is the default output from the DVD for both audio and video.
Ensure you are getting video AT LEAST with a direct test to projector.
Confirm your amp is monitoring the HDMI input coming from the DVD.
Hope this helps.

Lose audio unless projector is on or unplugging hdmi cable from sharp xr-32x projector. works fine when watching projector

Your receiver is sensing the video source. Try using optical, or coaxial digital audio for an input, this may work.

It looks like you may have a loose contact somewhere around the AC input. Try pushing the AC cord or wiggle it gently, if power comes back on; you have a loose connection.

Power not working

I have an infocus lp70+ it turns on and displays an image for about 2 seconds even if you push the menu button, then the bulb powers off and it acts like it overheated. It does this when it is clearly not overheating. Please help me, I can be emailed at trendkillaffxi@yahoo.com.
