Hi,

If the refrigerator isn't cool, you need to answer some questions, then see if the compressor is running.

First, answer these questions:

  • Is the refrigerator completely dead? If so, see “It's stopped completely.”

  • Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting? If not, reset it.

Next, see if the compressor motor is running

The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts. It's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of several different components, we recommend contacting a qualified appliance repair technician for further help.

If the compressor is not running but you do have power to the refrigerator, there may be a problem with one or more of these:

  • The compressor

  • The Thermostat

  • The overload, relay, or capacitor

  • The defrost timer

  • The condenser fan motor

Is there heat in the back of the unit? If the burner is not making heat
there is probably a problem with the electronics. Try the electric and
gas settings. If the burner is producing heat there may be a problem
with the cooling unit. Check for a yellowish powder residue or an
amonia smell. That would indicate that the cooling unit that is leaking
coolant. Dometic has a safety recall on some models for leaks near the
    burner.

Dometic RM2611, Freezes fine, Refrig OK on AC, but warms up when on LP gas. Can I safely increase the orifice size from #53 to #58? Thinking that will increase the flame and produce more heat.

Check the gas regulator and the lines for particles of dirt. You have modified the refrigerator it is going to take some work to find what is wrong. Don't modify the orifice from what it calls for.

Dometic RM 3662 not working on gas or AC power. I've changed the heat element, I can see the flame of the burner. What's going on that the unit won't cool off. Tried gas for 5+ hours and the fridge seemed...

When running on Electric insure that the rear coils of the cooling unit are getting warm. If the refrigerator is level and the coils are warm and the refrigerator does not cool then you more then likely will require a replacement cooling unit. NDR 1292 - Was freezing/cooling on electric, but stopped freezingcooling, tried gas but doesn't freeze or cool

Since it does not work on either AC or gas - do you have DC to the unit? I have spent many hours troubleshooting a Dometic that turned out to be a corroded DC connection.

I HAVE A 1997 FLEETWOOD RV WITH ORIGINAL DOMETIC RM2852 REF IN IT. ALL POWER SEAMS TO WORK (LIGHTS ARE ON PLUGED IN OR OFF OF GAS BUT THE WHOLE PROBLEM IS THE REF OR FREEZER WILL NOT GET COLD

Largest problem is with the cooling unit going bad on these unit at about your units age.
But first
check your 12 volt fuses and make sure both the fuses in the back of the refer and the fuse in the power distribution panel are good
Must have 12 volt for the gas to work
