Smartphone and electronicswarranty provider SquareTrade recently shared its smartphone data in a reportcomparing the iPhone 4 with other mobile devices. In the study ,there were fourmonths of data on the iPhone 4, eight months of data on Motorola and HTCAndroid devices, and one year of RIM BlackBerry data. The iPhone 4 led thegroup in reliability, with only 2.1 percent projected to have a non-accidentmalfunction in the first year of ownership. SquareTrade estimates that the iPhone 4'smalfunction rate over a 12-month span was just 2.1%, the iPhone 4 is currently outperforming almost everyother smartphone in terms of user satisfaction. So, despite all of the badpress the iPhone 4 has been getting, it looks like Apple fans and will alwaysbe Apple fans to play with iphone, and they can still enjoy dvd or video oniphone 4 easily through a dvd to iphone 4 converter, as long aswith this powerful tool, we can play it at any time and any place. If we areusing a mac systerm , we can also to convert dvd to iphone 4 with dvd to iphone 4 mac, all in all, we canget the most from them. Androiddevice makers Motorola and HTC were not far behind, with 2.3% and 3.7%malfunction rates in the first year respectively. Other smartphone makers wereless reliable, with some 6.3% of Blackberry devices failing in the first 12months, along with a 6.7% failure rate for other smartphones, the SquareTradereport said. The study also found that over 75% of smartphones experience afailure due to accidental damage. Blackberry devices had the lowest first-yearaccident rate, at 6.7%, while the iPhone 4 had the highest, at 9.4%. Itspredecessor, the iPhone 3GS had the lowest overall failure rate, at 11.7% overthe course of a year, with the highest failure rate at 16.9%, the study found. Whilethe November 2010 study found that the iPhone is the most trustworthy phone, italso showed Android-based Motorola and HTC devices to be pretty comparable interms of dependability. The study said that the reported rates can only reflectacross-the-board improvements in hardware that hasn't been proved in the longrun. American gadget insurer SquareTrade released figures yesterday showingthat of all the smartphones on the market, the iphone 4 was the most likely toget broken accidentally, with a staggering 13.8% accidental damage ratecompared with only 6.7% for Blackberry phones. Thesefigures need some time to test, there maybe the tendency that the iphone 4 iseasier to drop or that it's more likely to break if you do drop it - whichmakes sense when you consider its glass construction - or combination of thetwo. On the positive side for Apple, the iPhone4 is reported as the leastlikely to breakdown with a 12 month failure rate of 2.1% compared with 6.3% forBlackberryThe data from SquareTrade also suggested that despite being among themost complex devices available, smartphones are less likely to break down thanany other type of gadget except for digital cameras. Above all, we can draw a rough conclusion that theiPhone 4 is the most reliable phone in the study, but also has the highest riskof accidental damage. Blackberrys had the least risk of accidental damage, andmay be the best choice for the clumsiest consumers, but had a relatively highmalfunction rate.
