Question about Bulova Men's Watch

Military Time Somehow my watch got switched from regular time to military time and I have no idea how to get it back. The watch came from Wal-Mart. I can only assume that the model number is on the back as I don't see anything else resembling that on the watch. It's FMDAW500

Hello I have the same watch and had the same problem. You press the mode button till you get to the point to change the main time, you then press the reset button (bottom button on right side of the watch)to toggle to the hour place, you then cycle thru the time untill the "h" in the top right hand corners disappears and then the watch will be back on regular time.

First you do Tim go to set button, then press it for 20 seconds, then the number is flashing, then go to menu button push the hour, until hour setting finish.12h and 24h will come out after setting the time, choose 12h that is normal time not military time.only the setting button needs along press in order to set.

  • On some of these watches, while setting the hour part of the time, you can keep scrolling through the numbers and it will go through 1 to 12 AM and 1 to 12 PM and 1 to 12 AM then 13 to 24.
  • On some others you have to be setting the alarm time to get in and out of 24-hour time.
  • On others you get to set the A or P or H separately from the numbers, A is AM, P is PM, and H is 24 hour or military time.
The Chinese companies that build these watches seem to put different insides in the same cases so you might get any of the different kinds -- and they rarely bother matching the directions to the actual watch -- but one of those three methods will work on all the ones that I have seen.

Actually all the hours are military time. They are the same for the first twelve hours of the day. If you go through the setting procedure it will ask you if you want "12" or "24" hour time. Select 12. "24" is military

I have a Nexxtech Watch that is both digital and hand driven. I have somehow switched the regular time to a 24 hour clock and don't know how to switch it back. The manual says nothing about it. Any help...

These basic instructions are for most digital watches (and these are for regular to military but you can just follow same instructions to get to oposite) Hope this helps!
  1. Press the "MODE" button---usually on the lower left side of the watch, but sometimes on the right center side---to cycle through to the time display.
  2. Press and hold the "SET" button---usually on the right lower side of the watch---until the seconds flash.
  3. Press "MODE" repeatedly to cycle through the displays that flash: from hours to minutes to month to date and day. At the end of the cycle is the hour display option. Make this option flash.
  4. Press the "SPLIT/RESET" button below the face of the watch to change the hour display option to "24-hour display." This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.
  5. Press the "SET" button again. You are now done. All PM hours should be displaying hours between 12 and 23.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

My TGHK watch is stuck in ''military time'' and I've lost the instruction manual. Any ideas how to get it to am/pm mode?

advance the hours. The first time you go through the 24 hour cycle, it will be in am pm mode, the second time in 24 hour mode, the next time in am pm. Just keep advancing the hours until it comes up the correct time

How do i get my athletic watch off of military time? It's a water resistant watch up to 165 ft. model # aw60447w

military time:
1. When setting the time on your watch, IF you watch can change to Military time(and most can)
2. when you are adjusting the hours go through a full 24 hour cycle. You'll notice that the 2nd time through it is on military time.. 3rd time through back to 12 hour day AM/PM cycle .. 4th time back to Military.
So you can do this as many times as it takes to get to the right time ..
In 24 hour time you will see an "H" displayed where you normally see and "A" for AM and "P" for pm.

Time confusion

Possibly you can change it back by pushing the hour-setting button through a 24 hour cycle--you can see if you are on military time during the PM part of setting it. If it's on military, just keep pushing till you start over at 12 am again (hint: that's 0:00 in military.) At least, that's how it is on my watch.

How do I get my Timex WR50M watch out of the 24 hour (military) time and back to a 12 hour clock?

Hold down the adjust button bottom right then press the mode button top left you will notice the a or p that stands for am/pm will disappear & reappear. If you have an a or p on your display then you are out of military time.

I have a G Shock DW-004 made in 1997. I had this same problem, and I tried everything to change TO military time and back to standard time. I just read the bit to try and was about to do it. I pressed the top left button to get the time to flash, and hit the light button by accident (the one with the big G on it) and VIOLA! It changed to military time. So in my model, anyway, the G light button (under the display on the edge of the watch body) changed the time to military from standard and back again, when the time is flashing.

Good luck!
