Dear Freind ,
I am also using a good & nice product of Sony TRV 76E analog camcorder .I had converted all my hi8 videos to MPEG 4 format .
I am using a PC with Murcury TV capture card .In camera one AV out jack is available which is connected to murcury TV capture card .First it will recored in AVI format then you have to use one good video editing tool to edit & desird video format . I think your problem has resolved.

Thanks

your sony ccd-trv 108 will transfer videos(stream) to a computer using firewire connection. install the supplied software or use any program compatible for streaming like windows movie maker. use a firewire cable. check your computer for a firewire port(port with IEEE symbol) make sure that the tape is totally rewounded then press the record button on windows movie maker as the same time as you play the video from the camcorder. (its basically playing the entire video in order for windows movie maker to record it.

How can I transfer the video from a Sony Handycam CCD-TR416 to CD or DVD

How to Transfer video from Sony Handycam CCD-TR416 to DVD - You need a DVD Recorder / Player, connected to your TV. Then using the audio / video cables from your camcorder, connect them to the TV as well. Turn your TV on so that you can watch the video out from your camcorder and then select the record button on your DVD Recorder / Player. Then you have a DVD that can be watched in any DVD Player or Computer with out any compression. This is how I transfer my camcorder tapes to DVD.

I am having a sony hi 8 ccd trv 58 model handycam. i want a driver to transfer my videos to my personal computer. any free drivers available?

CCD-TRV58 is analog camcorder and can not be connected with computer directly as camcorder does not have USB or iLink/ DV ports.
Computer needs digital format movie data to store / edit files.
You need to hook camcorder audio-video out to DVD recorder and burn DVD of camcorder movie so you will get digital format of movie. Put that DVD in computer and copy files for further process.

I have a Sony Video8 Handycam CCD TRV211.

Hi,
If you are asking about CCD-TRV211 camcorder?
CCD-TRV211 is analog Video-8 camcorder so its movie data is not digital and can not be connected directly with computer via USB port.
Best and easiest was is to connect camera with DVD Recorder and burn DVD, this will convert analog movie file into digital data and you can copy it to hard disk of computer.

Sony handycam and pc transfer

Hello,
Sony CCD-TRV218E is analog PAL camcorder and can not be hooked with PC directly.
Computer (PC) requires digital format files to store on HDD and your camcorder has no digital file format to directly transfer in to computer.

You can hook your camcorder with DVD recorder to burn a DVD. Now you have digital files on DVD and can be transferred in PC.

Transfer of video.

If model number is correct i.e CCD-TRV67, means its analog camera and can't not be connected directly ( USB ) with PC. Suggestion is to record movie on DVD by any DVD-Recorder to get analog signal in digital format. Now you can transfer it in PC.
Hope this info will help you and if you find it helpful, give vote as fixya.

Export movie from an older TRV68 to computer

Hi,

I purchased a canon elura 100. The 100 has a AV -> DV converter. This allow you to tunnel your Sony via a 3.5mm 4-pole mini AV to mini AV camcorder A/V cable to your computer.

Sony (via AV out) -> (AV) Canon -> PC/Mac (DV) via fire wire cable
