RCA TruFlat 27F520T 27" TV Component-RCA PArt # Correlation

Hello,

I have determined that two components--VR802 and L301--need to be repalced. I have found a website that lists RCA parts, but only by the RCA part number. Does anyone know either (1) an RCA-component # mapping or (2) anywhere werhe I can get these two components stock? They look like standard electronic components, one is a voltage regulator and teh other I assume is an inductor.

Thanks,

Hank Rausch

Thank you very much! They both appear to be melted, will re-check the designation.

Something must be wrong as VR802 is a pot and L301 is a ferrite bead. Neither is likely to be a problem. Verify that you have the correct circuit designation and I'll get you the numbers.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

How do ya adjust the horizonal hold ???

There is no horizontal hold, the control is totally automatic. There is a circuit that knocks the horizontal frequency off when a high B+ source is detected. There is a very good chance that there is a defective component in the voltage regulator or sometimes a defective component in the circuit itself(xprot). I do recommend having the TV inspected by a qualified tech to prevent further damage to the TV.
