The easiest way is to restore from a restore point if you are running Windows.
Go to Control Panel, select Recovery and follow the prompts.
Hope that helps, if not you may want to try this:

Reformatting as per new system.

From what you say I presume you wish to put it back to when was supplied. If so, boot your computer and go into the Bios, select default settings.
Re boot your computer with your system disc in the DVD drive and when the menu asks whether you want to install a fresh system and format, select fresh system.
When your new system is installed, go to the manufacturers web site and down load the drivers for your computer then re-boot it.
Install Office and any other periferal software that was supplied with the computer and there you have a system installed bare PC.

Hope that helps.

When it comes on it want stay on but for 5 or ten min

Turn off computer and restart and hold down the D button while it boots on. This will bring you into the diagnostic screen. Run the diagnostics to check hardware issues. If nothing comes up reboot normally and check your power profile. It is probably set to shut down or suspend after that time to save power.

This reboots it and cleans up a lot of ****. Thanks Mike. Please if this helps, please give me 4 thumbs up, to help me and others. if that dont work, turn it off again fully charge it then reboot it manually again. This should do it!

I am in charge of a computer account here at work and have about 15 ACER 1916B monitors that are all inop...The monitors power up and show the ACER startup then show the windows startup to only go...

This problem is caused by 2 things, the computer is set to a higher resolution that the monitors can handle, so when the graphics card drivers kick in as windows boots the screen goes blank, this is normally the problem for people trying to hook there computers to normal lcd televisions not monitors, as monitors generally are able to show higher resalutions.

In your case because you are using computer monitors, the problem will be caused by the refresh rate settings on the windows, most desktop lcd monitors have a fixed refresh rate of 60hz, my guess is your computers are set as 75hz therefore as windows boots the screen goes blank because it dosent support that high a refresh rate.

To resolve this problem, just before windows boots press F8 on the keyboard, this should bring up a black command prompt screen, at the top you will see the safemood option, tab up to it and press enter, this goes to windows but dosent load any drivers including the graphics driver. Once loaded right click the mouse in the middle of the screen, and bring the display properties window up, in this window click on the settings tab, click on advanced on the bottem right of the window, this will bring up another window, click on the monitor tab, on this window you will see the screen refresh rste setting, click the small arrow and set this to 60hz and click ok, in the other window reduce the resalution down abit using the slider, click apply and close the window, then reboot the mechine as normal, the problem should now be sorted, any problems post me back. thanks and hope this helped.

Need to get computer out of safe mode to reboot

If you simply reboot is should start normally. If it does not complete the boot process it will bring you to the safe mode boot options after a restart. If this is the case you have other problems post back.

Unable to boot up computer it keeps returning to set up

Set the machine up as normal entering all your information such as new account, networking etc and upon reboot it brings you back to setup again I suggest you do a full format of your Hard Drive and then a full reinstall of Windows and this should sort the problem out.

RHEL 5.3 fails to boot at "bringing up interface"

I found the solution.
Take in accunt that I'm a total newbie on Linux boxes.

1 - Previous to any change, following RH deployment guide, I backed up the network config on a file called "network-config-10.1.1.5" with:
"system-config-network-cmd -e > /root/network-config-10.1.1.5"

2 - After the Server refuses to complete boot sequence, I rebooted the server and entered on interactive mode pressing "I" just after RHEL splash.

3 - Then I accept all options with "Y" but "Bring up interface bond0".
Then hit "C" to complete boot sequence.

4 - Login normally as root and revert the changes with:
"system-config-network-cmd -i -c -f /root/network-config-10.1.1.5"

5 - Reboot the server and all return to normal.

My PC does not boot when I press the power button on. The power comes alright but it will not boot and load files unless I leave it on for a long time and later reboot it again. This has been the problem...

You need to clear cmos usually on board is a little coloured jumper, but also first disconnect power plugs from board which come from the big psu, normally have a little clip you have to squeeze, find cmos normally 3 pins with a littl jumper move it from one set of pins to next set of 2 pins, you normally have i pin exposed,so move left or right and hold for 10 seconds make sur e you put back as it was, reconnect psu plugs ,reboot enter the bios normally Delete button or what it says on your screen normally setup button ,reset your time and date and make sure you save your settings before you leave bios page

will before you decide to bring back to the store, you select a safe mode from the option setting and then restart...to back default the normal setting of windows...if this method will not go back to thier normal setting then you bring them back to the store.
