Question about HP Digital Sender 9250c scanner Printer

Open Question

When attempting to send a document, the device keeps asking for a file name. We have another one of these devices setup, and on that device, there is no field for file name. Even after entering a file name, it will still tell me a file name is required. I have upgraded to the newest firmware, reset to factory default, compared the setting from our working unit to this unit...nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thanks for any assistance. John

SOURCE: HP C6280 All-In-One: Problem with "Set As New Defaults" feature

What is happening, is the memory battery has failed.
When you remove the power, the settigs are stored in memory, and that memory is maintained by a lithium battery, either in the memory chip itself or mounted to the board.
If the battery is not good, the machine will reset back to the original factory settings.

SOURCE: Wireless router FIOS upgrade - now printer won't work

If the computers connect but the printer doesn't, then it probably means the wireless router is working ok. Not sure what you mean when you say you turned off the firewalls, but I'll have to assume you mean any built-in firewall on the router and hopefully the firewalls on your Windows computers (still not sure what you mean by "security things").

You mention that you entered the SSID and WEP settings manually. I'd start there in trying to fix the problem. On the wireless router, turn off WEP. Remove any WEP setting information on the printer. Don't worry, you can turn WEP on later after you've established a connection between the printer and the router. Often with wireless devices, you first have to establish a connection with all of your security turned off, then one by one, turn your security measures back on, testing the wireless connection each time.

You've probably already done this, but make sure you've entered the SSID correctly. Sometimes it's that simple a problem.

If these measures don't work, then it could be quite a variety of different issues. Wireless networks are impacted by a large number of factors and it's difficult to diagnose all of the possible problems with just the small amount of information you've been able to provide.

HP.com does have a web page for your product that gives you a set of troubleshooting steps:

Troubleshoot Wireless Network Connection Problems

Read through all of the suggestions on that page and see if one of them will help you. Sorry I can't offer more, but as I said, there are so many things that can interfere with wireless communication.

The only other suggestions (assuming all else fails) I can make would be to completely turn off your printer then turn it on. If that doesn't work, assuming you installed the printer software and drivers when you first got the printer, uninstall and reinstall the printer, just as you did originally. Sometimes that fixes problems that can't otherwise be detected. It's a last ditch effort, but if you have exhausted all other attempts to fix the network issues, that one might work.

Good luck.

Typically when a mobile device is locked, it wants the original e-mail account name and password it was setup with. If you can log into your account at https://mail.google.com/ that's good, but it doesn't guarantee it's the same account the phone is using or the original password used.
If you don't remember the username and the account was properly setup at creation time, you can recover the name using "I forgot my username" here: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46346 And here's a trick to recover an account name on an Android device: https://productforums.google.com/d/topic/gmail/ydNElvUjJVU/discussion
If you have the username, the following will help with the process to recover the account by resetting the password: http://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/
BUT... A recovered account won't have the original password which is what the device needs to be unlocked. In that case the device will probably need to have a factory reset done (read the owner's manual for instructions) and then setup again with an e-mail account (be sure to write the information down this time). If it's setup with the recovered e-mail account, any purchased apps and synced data should be restored. If a new account needs to be created, all previous information will be lost.

I m not able to send data by bluetooth from my xperia 8 can u help me out from this problem

Usually the procedure to be followed is to select the file and from its options choose to send or transfer ..and select more options and the way to be transferred..In some devices this options is not called transfer or send ..but its called copy ..to ..or by ..After all these..you will be guided to the find device options and the device you want to copy to must be bluetooth activated and you will be able to select it from the list of devices found....by its name ...In this point you will be asked for the security code...wich is usually 0000 or 1234 if never been changed..and the transfer will begin after you confirm the transfer from the second device (the one receiving )
Another way is to activate the bluetooth in both devices...and in the one you want to send the file to ...activate it for to be found..(it has this option in the bluetooth feature..) after hat when the devices are paired..just select the file and send it by ..choose bluetooth and from the list choose the device by its name ..and click send ..after which you will have to confirm the transfer from the device you'll send to ..

How can i transfer pictures and videos from htc hero to computor

You'll learn how to transfer file (music, photos, videos, ring tones, documents, etc between your computer and your mobile phone.

jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • A bluetooth enabled cell phone.
  • A computer with either a built in bluetooth module or an external bluetooth dongle.
  1. jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep1 span.image a:first').attr('href','http://i.ehow.com/images/a02/4f/q0/phone-computer-using-blue-tooth-1.1-800X800.jpg'); }); Bluetooth Dongle

    Ifyour computer does not come equipped with a built in bluetooth module,you'll need to purchase a bluetooth dongle. These can be picked uponline or in a retail store and average between $10 and $30.

  2. Plugthe bluetooth dongle into your computer or if your computer is equippedwith an internal module, activate it (this is sometimes accomplished bya switch on the side of your notebook computer).

    Some bluetoothdongles will be automatically recognized and windows will automaticallyinstall the drivers for you; however some devices may require thedrivers be installed manually.

    Now you'll need to activatebluetooth discovery on your computer. This step may be differentdepending on the drivers used but should be similar to the following.

    * Look for the bluetooth icon in the windows system tray.

    * Right-click this icon and select open bluetooth settings.

    * Click on the Options tab and select "Turn discovery on".

  3. Activateand configure bluetooth on your cell phone. Setup will be differentdepending upon the brand of your phone. You will need to refer to theowners manual of your particular phone for specifics but I will covergeneral guidelines.

    * Locate the bluetooth settings menu in your phone.

    * Turn bluetooth ON.

    *Give your phone a name (you can use anything you like, but keep in mindthat other bluetooth users can see this name) this is the name thatwill identify your phone when you or others are searching for nearbybluetooth devices.

    * Set your bluetooth visibility. This shouldbe set to "shown to all" or "visible". You may wish to turn thisfeature off when you are not utilizing bluetooth.

  4. Now you'll need to pair your phone and your PC. This can be done from either the phone or the PC.

    From the PC (Windows XP):

    * Right click on the bluetooth icon in the system tray and select open bluetooth settings.

    * At the bottom of the devices tab, select "Add"

    * The Add Bluetooth Device Wizard appears, select "My device is setup and ready to be found" and click the Next button.

    * The wizard should find your device, if it doesn't, refer back to step three.

    * Select your device and click Next.

    *When prompted about a passkey, choose "Let me choose my own passkey",enter a passkey of your choosing (I like to use 0000 for ease butwindows recommends an 8-16 digit passkey). Click Next.

    * At thispoint the computer will attempt to connect to the phone via bluetoothand if successful your phone will prompt you for a passkey. Enter thesame passkey you entered into the computer and press OK.

    * If you are prompted to accept a connection request from your computer, select Yes.

  5. Nowthat your phone is paired with your computer, you are now ready tobegin transferring files. We will use a picture for this example.

    *Right click on the bluetooth icon in the Windows system tray and selectreceive a file. This lets your computer know to expect a file transferfrom a bluetooth device.

    * Again all phone models are different so this next step will vary.
    Locate an image file on your cell phone and select send - via bluetooth.

    * The phone will then search for bluetooth devices in range and display them along with already paired devices.

    * Select your computer from the list of devices.

    *The data file will transfer over to the computer and windows willprompt you to enter a file name and choose a location to save the fileto.

    * Thats it!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Allmobile phones are different and some bluetooth drivers are different.Refer to your phone's owners manual for specific phone settings.
  • It is sometimes a good idea to turn off bluetooth on your phone when in crowded areas for security reasons
