Sounds like the screen is losing signal first i would try a new video cable eg. vga. dvietc. which ever one you are using at the moment then if that does not work i would try an extra video card rather then the one you have now if that still does not work post again, let me know

hope this helps and good luck with the problem and by the way don't forget to vote for this solution.

My monitor keeps going to sleep it will not stay on for a minute. I was wondering how can I factory reset my Windows hp w1907 thank you

It's not the monitor. Right click in an open area of your home page once the device is done booting up. Look for something that says something like preferences or customize in the box that opens up. You didn't say your operating system so going to do some fishing. look under screen saver or sleep settings. Increase the time until it goes to sleep and your problem should be solved. Good luck.

My hp L1506 going to sleep again and again

Follow this instructions to disable sleep mode
In windows XP
1)Right-click the desktop, and select "Properties."
2)Click the "Screen Saver" tab, and click the "Power"

button at the bottom.
3)Change the option next to "System Standby" to

"Never" for either "Plugged in" or "Running on

batteries" or both if that is what you want. Click

"Apply," "Okay" and "Okay" once again to close the Display Properties dialog.
In windows vista

1)Click the "Start" menu, and then click the Control Panel.

2)Click "System and Maintenance," and then select "Power Options."

3)Select "High Performance" to disable the overall sleep mode. The monitor will still go into sleep mode unless you click "Change Plan Settings" and disable all sleep options.
In windows 7

1)Click "Start," and then select "Control Panel."
2)Double-click "Power Options."
3)Select "High Performance" under "Additional Plans," and then click "Change Plan Settings." Change all of the options to say "Never."

WF1907 Monitor is in sleep mode - how can i get it to stay on?

If understand your issue correctly , your system and monitor is fine . The only problem is that the monitor switches off after some time.

If after moving the mouse or taping on the keyboard the monitor comes back . Then we can solve the problem buy adjusting the power settings in the OS .

If the monitor doesn't come back on if you strike the keyboard or click the mouse. Then the problem could be with the monitor.

Depending on the OS you have you can disable sleep by going to the following link

My Computer boots and montitor says Going to sleep and flashes VGA : NO signal and goes off

Check under "Power Options" of the control panel of Windows that "Turn off Monitor" is set to "Never" Also check under the advanced tab of "Power options" that "When I press the sleep button on my computer" its set to "Do Nothing"

This will most likely solve your problem. the sleep button may be stuck on the keyboard causing the pc to quickly go into sleep mode

When you start up your computer - on most computers if you press the delete button you will enter the bios - from there find the screen that will put your system to sleep when you power down your computer - this will power down your monitor as well.

My monitor goes to sleep all the time it is very frustrating

Go into Control Panel, then to Power Options.
In XP, you see a selection for Turn Off Monitor. Adjust that setting as desired.
In Vista, you'll see Choose when to turn off display on the left side. Choose that option and select the desired time setting to turn the display off.

HP monitor staying in sleep mode

I don't know if this qualifies as a solution or not, but to-date, the only solution I have found has been to never upgrade the video driver beyond the original "Spring 2007 Original NVIDIA Graphics Driver", installed via sp26865.exe that I got from HP support when my system was new. This file does not appear to be available now, but the support group may give it to you on special request.

Every time I "upgrade" the NVIDIA drivers, my monitor will not come out of sleep mode and only restoring to the original will work. I do not know if the upgraded driver fixes any of the advertised problems or not since I do not seem to suffer them.

Monitor goes into sleep mode

Just to check, do you have any power settings enabled? If you right click the desktop and go to properties, then screensaver, then power settings, look for hibernation and options to turn off the monitor after a certain amount of time. Maybe one of these settings got checked.
