I Came to his site looking for an answer to unlock my sisters iPodand found out a simple way to unlock it! You need to plug the iPod into your computer ( NOT THE COMPUTER THAT YOU NORMALLY USE YOUR IPOD ON!!!!! ), open iTunes, then it should recognize the IPOD, then you need to try to click restore and then wait for the erase and sync box to pop up, and click erase and sync. and it should be unlocked....................the only downside to this is that you loose the music on your IPOD and get the music in iTunes that ou erased and synced with I hope this works it DID for me!!!!!!

1.Plug it in to your computer.
2. open My Computer or Computer
3. click on views and make sure that show hidden files and folders is on.
4. open your ipod in computer and open iPod_Control folder
5. you will see a folder called device go in there
6. there will be a file called Locked or lock, delete it.
Now your iPod is unlocked, but the combo will still be there. to reset the combo,
1. go to settings, scroll to the bottom to see reset all settings, click it. and now you can set a new one. Note: it will not effect songs or videos.
