I think its a hardware problem of your display. You need to check it to the Computer Store or the place where you bought your Laptop

Screen is white with black vertical lines upon booting up. I can't get beyond this screen.

The video card (built-in on the motherboard) maybe faulty or the LCD screen is faulty.
Connect an external monitor to the video port of your laptop, power up the monitor first then boot up your laptop. If the video card id OK then the laptop will automatically divert the video to the external monitor. Then the problem is a faulty LCD screen.
If the external monitor also displays black vertical lines then you have a faulty video card and since it is part of the motherboard it is impossible to fix.

Red white and blue straight vertical lines are appearing on the lcd

Jose,
The lines indicate that the resolution of the LCD is not matching that of Windows. You have over done the resolution. What you do is that reboot and press F8 at boot up before you see Windows booting. A plain black and white Menu would appear. Here, select Safe Mode. Once booted in Safe Mode you must right click on the desktop and select Properties->Display Settings. Here reduce the resolution of the LCD by one notch at a time till you get the correct display.

Describe your Gateway M675 Laptop w/ Pentium4 Gateway M675 won't maintain a charge after charging and the display flicks from ac/dc until the battery is completely empty. Do I need a new battery or power...

Sounds like you need a new power adapter. The M675 needs the correct voltage constantly to work correctly.I'm using one right now and it does the same thing with the wrong adapter or a weak adapter(low voltage).M675 is a great laptop but with the 3.0ghz its got to get the power it needs especially when its under a heavy load.

Gateway M675 will not boot. When I push the start

Hi,

This might have something to do with the battery.

Have you tried to boot it up without the battery in it?

Dear,
1 Please install the operating systems in this hardisk 2. Set BIOS to boot from the New System 3. still it fails, there is an issue with boot sector of your hardisk.

Pink vertical line

To start try reinstalling display adapter drivers. Try also to start from a boot disk or to install a different operative system.

If it does not go, and does not depend on the system, a static vertical lines is either faulty display adapter or faulty LCD display. Usually the video adapter.

M675 Notebook Wireless Problem

yeppers..those are simply receivers, and sometimes, after a period of time, and vibration, and shock, they just lose some of their ability to tune into a signal. I've seen it in net cafes and inside wireless nodes too.
