Just screw it in place of the old one and plug the wires onto the board. If you need to identify which wire is which, just search online for HVAC wiring connections. There are thousands of websites that describe what each wire goes to. The terminal markings are standard for any brand name. R=24v, Y=compressor, O=reversing valve - for heat pump, W or E=heat coils inside(for when it's too cold to run H. Pump), C=common - other wire from 24v transformer. And, on a board like that, there will be 2 "D" or "Def" terminals, for the sensor on the copper tubing.

Rheem heat pump not coming on in heat mode. Control board has two LED lights # 1 solid, #2 blinking. What does this mean?

Usually wen the led lights are blinking it means there is a problem. If you look on the door or the cover there should be a code that tells you what the blinking represents.

Example - one blink per second - compressor, two blinks - fan motor, etc. The other thing you can do is look up the model number on line for the installation manual and it should have all the info you need.

Purchased Rheem 4 ton 16 seer AC installer just left

Ask your installing company for the AHRI number. If installed with a
matching furnace and coil as listed in the certification then you will get 16 seer rating. If they installed something different than what is listed in the certificate then demand all parts listed or a refund.

Heat Pump Blowing Cold

Unless you just installed or had the thermostat installed recently, I would not point at the thermostat as the problem. With what you have described I would suggest have your units serviced as it sounds like a loss of charge, or failed defrost control board. The "Aux" comes on when the unit is using secondary heating (electric heat strips). That occurs when the demand temperature (what you set it to) in Heat mode is more than the current room temperature, usually ~2-4 degrees higher. Also happens in defrost mode. Defrost is a heat pump cycle that melts any build up of ice on the condenser unit (outside unit). That process is simply the unit running in cool mode which will heat up the outside unit to melt any ice. Defrost cycles vary with manufacture but usually you can tell if is in defrost by looking at the outside unit, during defrost the unit will be warm or hot sometimes there is steam and the compressor will be running but not the fan. Defrost only happens on heat pumps in "Heat" mode. Rheem has a 10 yr compressor and parts warranty, so call the installer or Rheem authorized service company.

Can I replace the igniter on my rheem water heater RHLP

1) Rheem does not post service manuals for their brands of tankless, or tank-type water heater:
Replace the thing:

2) Probably you can call Rheem and give model and serial number and they will send part.
However, based on responses at fixya, Rheem most likely will not send instructions.
Rheem does not want customers repairing gas appliances.

3) Go to Bosch website, and track down their service bulletins for possible assistance

I have a rheem powervent2 model pus50 with a new Robert Shaw thermostat

I would call Rheem. Get model number and serial number from label on side of tank. Also note identifying information from side of gas control valve.
And also call the installer.
All water heater manufacturer's have bad units. Period. They all do.

Now Rheem may throw you off and tell you to work through the installer. The installer can also contact Rheem while at your location.

If you installed this unit yourself, you may have to go back to the seller.
If you bought the unit online, then Rheem is best source of information about their products.
Rheem does not post service manuals. I think this is an insult to customers.
All water heaters have 1 year parts, tank and labor warranty for original owner and residential installation. Warranty beyond that can cover parts and tank, and may be pro-rated. Rheem warranty information is likewise difficult to find. Check the Rheem website.

Use circuit analyzer and check that you have correct grounding and polarity at 120Volt outlet. Then check if the is continuity between manifold tube under gas control and the ground prong on plug.
Make sure you are not using extension cord.
Surge will knock out digital gas control valves.

Copy following link for troubleshooting by type of gas control, and that might give some information since other companies post service manuals:

You can also post question on pro water heater forum, and find a question that EJ answered, then open question, and left click on EJ name to send message. He is their power vent guy. I'm probably not suppose to say that at fixya, but the customer comes first, and you have a water heater problem.

Error Im getting is C8 82

Before calling service tech, copy following link for Rheem-Paloma troubleshoot resources:
C8 is usually the PC board, or could be failed gas solenoid valve.
82 is gas-type-data-failure = program PCB for proper gas type, or proper altitude above sea level.

If this is new installation, Rheem-paloma might tell you to contact the installer.
If this is older tankless that worked before, then things point to failed PC board. Rheem-paloma may send you new PCB for free if unit still under warranty period for defect parts.

Rheem does not post service manuals, but will send instructions.
Hopefully the success rate for replacing your main PC control board will have better outcome than expected when replacing motherboard on your computer.
Perform regular maintenance to avoid some common error codes.
