Well you can reset your password but that will depend whether your Administrator (Windows) root (Linux) user's account are password protected or not. If they are not password protcted then log in to your system with administrator or root and then reset your password but if that also is password protected and you have forgotten that password also then there is no option in windows other than reinstalling. ya but you can do it in Linux without reinstalling.
