Because the camera is a 10x optical zoom. Once you go above the 10x it is no longer using the optics to zoom. it is using the "digital zoom" which is, in my opinion useless. you can disable the digital zoom in the menu options(recommended). basically it's taking the 10x zoomed image and cropping it or enlarging the pixels and that is where the blurriness comes from.

Picture not focused at 12x zoom

It's probably something to do with a lag or jam on your shutterspeed. so when you hit the button, and move you get a little blur. If its not this you might need to have your lens cleaned inside and out due to the camera zooms and catches the blurs on the lens after zooming so far in. I would recommend taking it to your local camera shop for adjustments and cleaning.

Once u zoom into the picture that is very far away how do u keep the picture zoomed in after u snap the shot ...

Once you've framed your shot (zoomed in) and taken the picture. That's it, the picture you've taken is the one in your view finder, and that's the way its kept.

However, if you want to zoom in further, you can using the software you were provided with your camera, you can, you can also zoom in using your camera menu. Once happy you can then save the edited picture. But this time its a digital zoom and it will reduce the resolution. The picture won't look quite as fine. It will be a balance between picture quality and the extent you want to zoom in.

Hello please help in live view mode when i press the button to zoom 0x/5x/10/ the pic is very close in my LCD screen.my question is that when i am at 5x or 10x when i want to see my pics i have taken in...

The zoom button merely zooms in on the display. It magnifies a portion of the picture so you can get a better look at what you're about to photograph. LiveView or otherwise, if you want to zoom, you have use the zoom ring on your lens (assuming you're using a zoom lens in the first place, of course).

When Zooming picture it produces blurred or fuzzy picture

This is when zooming through your camera LCD I presume? For small screens usually banding and pixelation is common, if this happens also when the picture is zoomed in on a larger monitor like on your computer then the resolution you set for your camera is low. You can check for the camera setting and increase the resolution from for example 1024x768 to a much higher value and the fuzinnes (blur) will disappear altogether...

Blurred Pictures

1. What is the focal length of lens you are using? 2. Is the blur occurring with lens with a lower focal length than the telelens? 3. Do you still get a blur when you use the telelens with a tripod or a firm base? Regards Raman

Fuji Film Question

The easiest way to tell if camera shake is the problem is to use a tripod - generally not necessary on a bright day, at least with my camera (also a 10x zoom). If a tripod doesn't give you clearer pictures then camera shake is most likely not the problem; if it is, either use a tripod for your big zoom shoots or get used to bracing the camera, either just with your hands held out from your body or against a wall / post / anything handy. Good luck!
