windows xp will not find my printer

Windows xp home edition sp2
Had to delete HP deskjet 720c printer, Try to reinstall the printer wizard will not find my printer. I did the install manually all seam to work expect that I get printing error in thr print window & it will not print a test page it give the same printing error.

The driver for this printer cannot be download in windows xp platform had to use the one in window xp, or is there a way around that?

Yes delete printer than remove server driver

it behave as it was sending the print job to another programe? not the printer....

Wizdid you get the new drivers from www.hp.com or use your older CD?

hmmm..that's unusual...did you remove the old software first?
