The first thing to check is to make sure you have scripting enabled in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is integrated into Yahoo Messenger so things that go wrong with IE can affect Yahoo Messenger.

2) In the Start Menu click on Run. Type, without the quotes, "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and then click OK. Next, repeat the process but this time type in the Run box "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and click OK. Please note, if you are using Windows Vista temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.

3) If the above does not fix your problem and you are using Windows XP, you can update your Windows Script to version 5.7. In my experience helping others, this is the step that has helped the most people. Exit all browser windows and chat programs including Yahoo Messenger before installing. run registry cleaner reginout to easily fix it

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Hello and Welcome to Fixya!

Actually may be your status on Facebook is as "Offline" that's why it is not showing you the chat box, first you have to make your status as "online"
For this log in your Facebook account, when your home page will open, On the left side down on the page there will be written that "you are currently offline to chat with your friends "Go online". Click on it and your status will become online and your chat box will open on the bottom of the page. If you have done this and problem is still there then may be the problem is in your browser, in this situation try to log in with other browser, After this if you have still this problem then may be you are blocked to chat from Facebook or there is a problem in Facebook server, then wait for a while it will probably fix soon.

I hope you have a clear picture now in your mind and this solution helps you.Let me know If you have further confusion regarding your problem
Thank you and Keep Visiting FixYa

I am online on Facebook, but I cannot chat with friends, I am showing offline. HELP, PLS!

If you do not see your friends
Step 1 - look at the bottom right hand corner of your facebook page, it will say chat offline. Click that button and then all your friends will appear on the right. Step 2 - There is a little circle at the bottom of that list. Click the little circle and check off "Available to Chat".
However, If you already see your friends just follow step 2.

Actually your status on Facebook is as "Offline", thats why you are not able to chat with your friends and you appear them as "Offline"
To chat with your friends and make you visible you have to make your status as "online"

new virus infection: it can be fixed through deleting extra key in registry settings. navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software \Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion \Internet Settings\ then delete keys other than 0,1,2,3,4. that extra key may be alphabet "I" or something.. (0-4 is IE default internet zone security setting..)

Tried to look for a way to view who's signed on to Facebook Chat without having Facebook chat activated. Sometimes Facebook chat is a nuisance, and just want to turn it off. This way, i can turn it off...

'Appear Offline' lets you do that! Allows you to see who's signed on to Facebook Chat without having Facebook chat activated. You can poke and send Facebook messages to your online contacts from the Appear Offline page.

My chat always appears online even though im

Hello,

Is this with facebook? I am having the same issues as well. Also with the Feeds not showing properly. Currently, the website is undergoing maintenance so we need to wait until it works again.

Alternatively, try switching from different browsers.

Try upgrading your yahoo messenger. Most I know experience this due to virus infection or the yahoo messenger just needed to be updated.
