The reason you might have this problem is that your phone does not support mp3 format. Try converting them into different formats using this software http://www.nch.com.au/switch/
When asked, do not install any related Software Programs. Try converting it to different formats like mp4, wma, etc...

Hope It Works, if not, write back for further clarifications.

I have a samsung chat 335 but not sure how i would put songs on to it from a computer ?

Hello,
It is very easy.
All you have to do is go to settings>>>applications>>>media player and plug in your cord.

It will automatically connect and ask you what you want to sync and from where. choose windows media play.
This is another option.
Open itunes on the computer and go to settings on the phone and tap "SD card and phone storage.
" Then tap "mount SD card" setting and follow instructions. That opens the standard dialog box allowing you to open the music folder on the phone. Then you can simply drag and drop music from your computer music application to the phone.
Regards.

How do you get your 6700 to play music etc on the headphones

Hello,

Your phone includes a media player for listening to songs and viewing video clips. Music and video files stored in the music folder in the phone memory or on the memory card are automatically detected and added to the music library.

To open the media player, select Menu > Media > Media player.

Music menu Access your music and video files stored in the phone memory or on the memory card, download music or video clips from the web, or view compatible video streams from a network server (network service). To listen to music or play a video clip, select a file from the available folders and Play.
To download files from the web, select Options > Downloads and a download site.
To update the music library after you have added files, select Options > Update library.

Play songs
To adjust the volume level, press the volume keys.
Operate the player with the virtual keys on the display.
To start playing, select icon_25.gif
To pause playing, select icon_26.gif
To skip to the next song, select icon_27.gif
To skip to the beginning of the previous song, select icon_28.giftwice.
To fast-forward the current song, select and hold icon_27.gif
To rewind the current song, select and hold icon_28.gif. Release the key at the position you want to continue the music playback.
To switch to the music menu, select icon_29.gif
To switch to the current playlist, select icon_30.gif

To close the media player menu, and to continue music playback in the background, press the end key.
To stop the media player, press and hold the end key.

Hope it helped.

Sciphone 168 wont play music from media player

The Sci Phone is very iffy about reading stuff. It works more efficiently by plugging your phone directly to your computer using the usb plug. The songs must be in the "mp3" folder to play on the equipped audio player.

Kazaa music for Verizon compatability

As far as downloading songs with the internet, yes, VCast is your only choice for Verizon.
However, you are free to sideload your .mp3 formatted files from your computer to your phone via a microSD card, or data cable, no matter where they came from.
If you're going to use a memory card, you'll need to insert it into the phone and format it (its under Menu > Settings > Memory usually). Then make sure that you only load the files into the music folder for them to work.

I have a samsung SCH-r450 messenger phone that is supposed to play mp3's. I cant seem to get the darn thing to play. I finally figured out how to get them downloaded onto my memory card, but the phone...

Try this:
Pu the card in the phone, and turn on the phone.
Turn the phone back on and remove the card.
Plug back into the computer and look for the music folder.
put all your mp3s in there and remove it from the computer.
Put it back in the phone and turn it back on.
It should now find all of your music.
Good Luck!

Downloading to a zte c79

i JUST bought this phone, and got very frustrated trying to download music into the music player. Drag and drop your music files from your pc into your "my music" folder. They DO NOT show up right away, this is why i got pissed. I figured I was doing something wrong. I had the card in my phone, and my phone plugged into the usb port. They finally showed up on my phone after I took the card out and put it back in. As far as saving them for ringtones, I am pretty pissed that I can't do it. I am thinking Metro wants us to pay for them. That is such b&*%$#*!

LG 260 Rumor - Unable to read/play music off memory card

I FOUND THE PROBLEM! You need a CoreMicro Micro SD Adapter and the USB that goes with it. Mine said it was right-protected until a person on a website told me to move a white switch upwards on the adapter. Holding the Adapter facing you, make sure the switch on the left side is moved upwards. Put it in the USB port, and then into the computer jack. Go to WMP (windows media player) and go to your library. Right-click any song and click the "go to file location" button. That way you are at the actual file location and not a link to it for playing. You see a list of all the songs you have at the raw source. Make a folder and name it "Music". Drag the songs you want on your phone into the folder. They will disappear from the menu into the folder but not from the computer so you still have the music files on your computer. With the Music file in view, right-click and go to the "Send to" button and click on the "Removable Storage" button (or something that looks similar but the same words). A loading screen should pop up and start loading the files. You are done! Remove the USB and the Adapter, put the memory card in and charge er' up! It worked for me and i hope it works for you. Thanks.

CANNOT PLAY DOWNLOADED SONGS

What format are they? I don't think the Walkman will play M4a (iPod) files. You're best-off with Mp3 files at a bit-rate of 128mbps or 192mbps. I'm not sure if it can handle "lossless" quality music files.
