Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators
It is obvious that your temperature control unit is not functioning well. It may be moving all the way to off position but the contact is remains stuck up in he previous position i.e. it is slipping.
If the fridge is under warranty period ask the firm/retailer to replace the temperature control unit since you may not be conversant with the working/settings of temperature control unit.
I would also request you to try this before you take action as above.
Most of the fridges are coming with double temperature control units. One for freezer compartment and the other for the refrigerator compartment. Their working is interrelated. Try varying the settings of the freezer compartment and see the effect.
