It means the unit tried 3 times to activate the requested mode, and was unsuccessful. The instructions tell you to replace the unit.
You need to take the back of the unit apart carefully and add one drop of 3-in-1 to each gear shaft (due to a severely underpowered motor). Don't take the front off, or you will lose the small springs, they are almost impossible to see!

WHAT DOES "CHECK OP" MEAN? IT IS ON THE FACE OF MY

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with this question. You're receiving a message on your radio screen that says "Check Operation" and want to know how to clear it out. Whenever you see that "Check Operation" message on your radio, that means your radio has not received any activity (warnings or messages) for a number of days or weeks. This is something the radio does automatically. The message will clear off your screen when an alert has been announced or a Required Weekly Test (RWT) or Required Monthly Test (RMT) has been performed. I have a Midland WR-100 Weather Radio and it does the same thing. I get a Required Monthly Test on the last Wednesday of each month. After the test is completed, the message goes away. The National Weather Service conducts these test on Wednesdays starting at 10 a.m. Check your radio on Wednesday to see if you still see this message. The message should be gone around 6:00 PM or later. I hope this answers your question and thank you for choosing FixYa to answer your question. We hope you get the best user experience out this radio. Stay safe this Severe Weather Season, keep updated with your NOAA Weather Radio and have a good day, evening or night; whatever time of day you are reading this. MY MAYTAG NEPTUNE MODEL FAV6800AWQ KEEPS DISPLAYING THE LETTERS OP

You have lost signaling thru the Left Hand lid Lock. The washer has not see the lid go closed thru the signaling with the magnetic reed relay in the Left Hand Lid Lock.

You could have a Lid Magnet out of position or severe corrosion. You can place a large magnet over the Left bumper like this and see if the OP error code clears;

See this post for troubleshooting the OP error code Left Hand Lid Lock Troubleshooting I go over OD error code troubleshooting but you troubleshoot the issue the same way for the OP error code.

If the Lid Magnet is not out of position you may have an open circuit thru the Magnetic Reed Relay as shown in the Pics of this link Left Hand Lid Lock Troubleshooting.
The p/n for the Left Hand Lid Lock is 25001048

HAVE A E1 F2 MESSAGE. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

F2-E1 - Touch Pad (Keypad) Cable Unplugged -
Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

It appears your timer/clock has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question.$$$$

I own a TXSR 727 and the unit does not play and the message PROTECT appears on the face??

This means that the unit detected a problem in the output section and has shutdown to prevent further damage. Check for crossed speaker wires. If the unit continues to show the message with the speakers completely disconnected, then the problem is internal and is likely to be shorted output transistors. The repair cost for this will be in the $20-$50 range for parts.

Copystar CS-1500 "OP" flashing in display

Hello, 'OP' means that the front or upper front cover is open --- close the cover securely. If the message is 'OP1" then the left cover of the document processor is open, close that securely.

Sony DVP-NC85H Multi-disc DVD Tray locked

Look on the bottom of the unit. There is a hole with the letters ex and op. Shine a light in the hole and you will see a white plastic object with a slot for a slot screwdriver. You can turn this either way but be careful. If you feel resistance and the object does not turn, turn the other direction and the unit will open. Remember if the disc loaded the clamping of the disc is in place so you must turn it the proper way to let the current disc loose hence the op and the ex. Op is open. Ex is exchange.

EEE error message

I just talked to Honeywell support - they claim that an eee error means there has been a "unique error" and that the unit will need to be replaced - cannot be fixed. They were pretty good about giving a suggestion for a new thermostat and wiring directions if you want to DIY. Otherwise, call a pro.

Cleaning troubleshoot needed

When trying to use your Brother machine you get the message "Unable to _____". The blank may be the word Change, Print, Scan or Clean and these words may vary from model to model. This message is a general message and will appear for different reasons. It often indicates a paper jam or a mechanical issue. Complete the following to determine the possible issue. 1. Check for foreign objects, such as a clip or ripped paper, inside the machine. Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the cover. Look inside the machine and remove any foreign objects. If you see jammed paper or another item inside this area, gently pull it out and then close the scanner cover securely. 2. If the error continues to appear, the machine may have a mechanical problem. If the error message continues to appear, the machine will need to be reset. Resetting the machine will erase all faxes in memory and the Fax Journal Report. However, there is a way to transfer faxes in memory and the Fax Journal Report to another fax machine to print them out. Do the following to transfer the data and reset the machine:
