Getting older...ok, probably can't fix that. But, maybe tell me how to increase the size of readable print to see the emails better. Holding a magnifying glass is a little hard at my age.

If you are using the "Browsers" to read your Emails, ie. IE or Firefox, from the Menu options -> View - use the "Zoom in or out function"

You can use the Keyboard keys too -> "Ctrl +, or Ctrl -" to zoom in or out.

Hope it helps.

Increase the Font Size in Email
Email font size is easily controlled while composing messages, but the messages you receive have been sized by the sender.
Some contacts may be perfectly comfortable writing in size 8, but such text can be a strain on the eyes, even with good reading glasses.
The printed hard copies of email messages with small text are even more difficult to read.
There are a few ways to quickly change font size for ease of reading and better quality print-outs.

Open an email message with particularly small text. Increase the email font size of the text using step 2, 3 or 4.
Click on the "View" selection from the menu bar.
Roll the mouse pointer over the "Zoom" choice.
Click on one of the choices that is greater than 100 percent.
Click "View" and cover "Zoom" to make a larger choice if the first choice does not increase the text size sufficiently.

Click the "View" option on the menu bar. Roll the cursor over the "Text Size" selection.
Choose one of the options that will increase the text size.
For instance, if the current size marked with the dot is "Medium," then click "Larger" or "Largest" to make the print appear bigger.

Use a mouse with a wheel to increase the email font size.
Press and hold the "Ctrl" key while rolling the wheel on the mouse.
The text will shrink as you roll in one direction, and grow bigger as you roll in the other.

Change font size before printing.
Click the "File" option on the menu bar.
Click "Print Preview."
Click the "Size" drop down which may display "100%," or "Shrink to fit."
Select a choice greater than 100 percent to increase text size.
Click the "Print" button to view the results on a hard copy.

When i print from laptop the print is too small when it is printed

Odds are, that when you look at the print on your screen (especially in a word processor) you are slightly zoomed in and not looking at a true to life size image. Simple answer and fix is to increase the font size. Standard size is 12. 10 is readable but most people don't like it. 14 is fine but personal preference dictates this. If this isn't what you need then I need more information on what your exact circumstances are

HPC4480 printing emails in font size 3 or 4 prints letters etc without any problems

Usually emails are compressed in such a way that they take very little space therefore their font sizes are always small. Due to this before printing you are supposed to increase the font size before printing is done otherwise the prints are bound to come out small like font size 3 or 4. The best way to do this is to increase the size of the display before printing is done. you can increase the display size by using the ctrl and + keys. Press down the ctrl and press the + accordingly and the display will become bolderdo this to the document print preview before printing.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

I would like to increase print size occasionally to enable better readability of the printed document.

In checking for information on your printer I noticed that there were new drivers released in November for Windows 7:

http://support.lexmark.com/index?segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_CA&locale=en&productCode=LEXMARK_X2500&page=product&frompage=null#1

Your User Guide is available here:
http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2500/v3709407_en.pdf

Normally if wish to change the print size of a document you would change the Font Size within your word processor. The same would apply if you viewing a document on the web. For example, in Windows Explorer go to View, Select Text Size. Make your selcetion. Before printing I would choose the Print Preview selection under File to make sure it is what you want.

Trust this is helpful. :)

How to increase the size of the print? Print is too small

Right click on web page, choose select-all. Right click again click print preview, goto top tool bar and click full view (mouse over icon), then choose Custom from the Change Print Size drop-down menu. Specify how large you would like the webpage to be printed by setting a percentage in the Custom Size text box. This will enlarge the printed size of the entire webpage, but it might result in some of the webpage being cut off on the printed document. Usually you have more than one page to print. This is one way, maybe someone else can give a better way. Good luck.

With a pt 65, how do I reduce the size of the print?

Cook,

With the unit powered up, press and hold the yellow Code button. While holding it down, press the & key and watch the pointer at the top of the screen. Note how it is moving to the various size As. That will increase and decrease your font size.
