My Remington saw has a bad oil leak, but there is no local service repair shop for these saws. Can you tell me where in Texas I can find someone to service this saw?

Though nothing might ever happen, I would hate to hear that someone was injured mixing gas and electricity. I would probably go to your local ace hardware or something like that, and find bar and chain oil much like the product shown in the link above

Where can I find brushes for the remington model

Remington saw has gone out of business, and finding parts can be a hit or miss experience. Motor brushes in particular are quite rare, so you need to be resourceful in finding a similar brush used in other small tools. Visit a small tool repair shop or check with Ace Hardware (our local store has a whole display box of various sized brushes). If you do find something, buy more because these saws seem to eat brushes for lunch! Good luck!

This is an Oregon number if your bar is 16" pn 91VG058G, but kbsmiles is correct, Try a local saw seller first. Just take your existing chain for them to use as a pattern. HTH

According to the manuafacturer... Saw has a gravity-fed oiling system and it is normal for oil to “slowly” seep when saw is not in use. Empty tank after each use to prevent seepage.
