Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I have deleted photos from my Samsung st500 by mistake can I restore them some way?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this camera photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Some pictures seem to have been deleted from the memory card and I can not figure out how to retreive them from internal memory

The delete (garbage can) on all these cameras should be used sparingly it's been the cause of more problems then enough but it's there and people use it, The memory card should be formatted every time the pictures are downloaded to the computer. That way the memory card is clean and fresh for the next series of new pictures. Now the pain about getting the pictures from internal memory to the computer is another little annoyance. Each picture from the internal memory has to be loaded to the removable memory card one at a time then when all the pictures are on the removable memory card they can be downloaded to the computer and the internal memory cleared/deleted. Transfer images from internal memory to memory card

You need to connect this camera to a computer and download the files. You can than load them onto a memory card with the proper memory card reader. Memory card readers are not to expensive and a lot of laptops and even regular computers have them built in.

If you plug this camera in you can use Kodak's software, or you can plug it into a windows XP or newer computer and tell the computer to view the camera files as file folders. than you can copy and delete the picture files just like you would any other computer file.

When down loading camera to my comp,it will only download part

If you change quality to fine the opicture files will be much bigger.

Ensure that you have free space on your computer hard disk.

If there is space, the problems is usually because there is one or more bad files on the card, or because card format is bad.

Try copying files one by one, and delete files that are already stored on computer.

Try exctracting the memory card and use a card reader like this one All-in-1 Blue USB Memory Card Reader ... to copy the files inside computer.

Get a new memory card , or format the old one when all your files had been safely stored on computer.

When you "Download" to the computer, you actually copy them to the computer, they will still be in the memory, check the camera menu for a delete process, and delete them and you will be good to go.

Pictures wont down load

If the camera software is loaded and you are connecting the camera to computer.
Remove the softwaree and.
Windows will see the camers as a removable memory device in my computer an put up the scanner camera wizard.
This may reveal more.
You may also have inadvertantly deleted stuff
download www.pcinspector.com
install it to recover any deleted images.
Also try the camera and card in another computer.
