Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router

1 Answer

I had plugged the 110 - 120 V 0.5 A - 50 - 60 Hz power chord in to a 220 - 230 V power socket. The router worked for some time later went off. There is a leak in the power adopter. Is there a way I can replace the adopter ? Is there a solution for 110 V to 220 V conversion.

Reset a Honeywell HZ-709 portable electric oil room heater?

I'm going to ask the first "obvious" question: are you sure the socket you're plugging into is delivering power? (Sorry to ask but it's an Occam's Razor kind of situation) Have you tried a different socket in the same room? Next, does the main power switch for the heater have different settings i.e. high, medium, low, high-high, high-low, low-low and have you tried those combinations? Next, pick up the heater (if it won't hurt your back) and give it a robust shake. Try the power again. Any luck? Keep us posted.

I have an epilator (Remington Model # EP-6025). I have been using it in US and now, I would like to use it in India. Can I just use an adoptor for the chord and use this epilator

Yes, India uses 230 Volts at 50 Hz alternating current as the power source. Plugs and sockets have either grounded earthed 3 Pin connections (Type D) or ungrounded 2 pin connections (Type C).
All you need is an adaptor like the one in the picture.

If the sockets are hot (electrically, plug in something to confirm that sockets operation) and you are pushing the right button on the heater, then the unit is defective. There is no type of resettable sensor to my knowledge (not consumer accessible).

We lost power for a few hours .The cable company ( charter ) had to reboot the modem to reestablish the internet connection. Since then I cannot get the Cisco router to work.. I've done all the plug,...

1. if the power went out and then back on it is possibly due to a "power surge" and it possibly damaged the power supply to the Cisco router and or to the router itself.
2. check the routers power supply and replacement is needed if the router was not plugged into a surge protected socket.

Power cord has to be held inat an angle to run and

I would suggest it`s a bad solder connection to the board on your laptop or a small break inside the power chord wire right at the neck of the wire plug.If you can find an identical notebook to try the plug in...that may narrow your problem as to the power chord or the notebook plug, good luck:)

Wired, router, modem and internet light comes on but i am not allowed to browse...why is that? if i connect the modem directly to the pc then i can browse just fine...

Well , the problem is with the router , we can powercycle the complete network and if that does'nt work then router's setting's has to be re-configured.

Steps to powercycle the network:-
1)Turn off or shut down the computer.
2)Take the power chord out from the router.
3)Take the power chord out from the modem and the wait for 60 to 90s.
4)Plug the power back to the modem first and wait until all the lights gets stabilized on it.
5)Once the lights get stabilized then Plug the power back to the router and wait for the lights to get stabilized.
6)Turn on the computer and it might work else re-configure the setting's of the router.

Will not power on

Simply try another power chord, if you are sure the chord is not faulty, try to plug in the monitor to another wall socket. If the monitor is not working on any wall socket, call customer service of the manufacturer and get it repaired

try this
> connect the power chord directly to the wall socket.
> check with different wall sockets.
> unplug and plug in back the power chord. make sure that it is securely plugged in.
> check whether there is a light on the box which comes between the printer and the wall socket.
> if there is light and you hav the problem u need to service the unit else power chord may be the problem.
thanks and regards
