TO REPLACE THEprint CARTRIDGES 1. Make sure that the HP all in one is on. Caution: If theHP all in one is off when you open the print-cartridge access door to accessthe print cartridges, the HO all in one will not release the cartridges forchanging. You might damage the HP all in one if the print cartridges are nordocked safely on the right side when you try to remove them. 2. Open the print cartridge access door bypulling it forward. The print cartridge moves to the far right side of the HPall in one. 3. Wait until the print cartridge is idle andsilent, end then lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it. If youare replacing the tri color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge fromthe slot on the left. If you are replacing the black or photo cartridge, removethe print cartridge from the sloth on the right. 4. Pull the cartridge toward you out of itsslot. 5. If you are removing the black printcartridge in order to install the photo print cartridge, store the black printcartridge in the print cartridge protector. 6. Remove the new print cartridge from itspackaging and be careful to touch only the black plastic, gently remove theplastic tape bay using the pink pull tab. 7. Slide the new print cartridge forward intothe empty slot. Then gently push on the upper part of the print cartridgeforward until it clicks into the socket. If you are installing the tri colorprint cartridge, slide it into the left slot. If you are installing the black, slide it into the right slot. 8. close the print carriage access door.

Changing an HP Ink Cartridge

  • 1

Open the lid of the printer. Depending on the model, there will be two cartridges on the right, one for black and one for color.

  • 2

Find the cartridge that is running low on ink. The black cartridge will be in black, the color cartridge will have a patch of color (usually green) on it.

  • 3

Pull down on the black clamp that is holding the cartridge in place and slide out the used cartridge.

  • 4

Open the package of the new ink cartridge. Remove the protective tape and slide the new cartridge into the printer.

  • 5

Snap the black protective case back into place and close the lid.

My HP photosmart 7510 does not recognize the presence of any color cartridges. I use only HP 564 cartridges. It prints only black. What can I do with it?

Check this link for ink cartridge problems. The part on "older generation cartridges" is very interesting. It is located on page 39 of the manual (page 40 of the pdf).

I don't know how to change the ink bought this printer from a guy at work no manual

Lift the scanner cover from the right-hand side of the MFC until
it locks securely into the open position.

If one or more ink cartridges are empty, for example Black, the
LCD shows Ink Empty Black and Cover is Open.

Pull the ink cartridge hook toward you and remove the ink
cartridge for the color shown on the LCD.

Open the new ink cartridge bag for the color shown on the LCD,
and then take out the ink cartridge.

    Remove the cartridge covers.

Each color has its own correct position. Keep the ink cartridge
in an upright position when you insert it into slot. Press down on
the ink cartridge until the hook snaps over it.

Lift the scanner cover to release the lock. Gently push the
scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover.

If you replaced an ink cartridge while Near Empty was
displayed on the LCD, the LCD may ask you to verify that it was
a brand new one. Example: Did You Change Blck? 1.Yes
2.No. For each new cartridge you installed, press 1 on the dial
pad to automatically reset the ink dot counter for that color. If the
ink cartridge you installed is not a brand new one, please be
    sure to select 2.

If you wait until Ink Empty message is displayed on the LCD,
the MFC will automatically reset the ink dot counter.

If the Install message is on the display after you have
installed ink cartridges, check that the ink cartridges are
    installed properly.

    Hope that helps you!

Giant blobs of ink on every photo...

If you aren't currently, use the cartridge that the printer's manual says is for photos. Photo paper requires a different kind of ink.

Why won't my CX9400F recognize Epson ink cartridges

The Epson CX9400F printer seems to require replacement of all the color ink cartridges, even if only the Black is empty.

I print almost exclusively in Black, but with my first change of Black, I was forced to change all the color. At the time I thought Epson did not provide completely filled color ink cartridges.

Just yesterday, I replaced Black and the printer complained it did not recognize the rest of color cartridges. So I replaced all the other color ink cartridges and now it works fine.

You might want to check out for cheaper, mail order alternatives which are Epson ink compatible, if you are not in a hurry.

Changed cartidges & now black and blue don't print on C88+

Try to remove and reinstall the blue and black cartridge and check if you punctured the plastic cap underneath the cartridge itself. then reinstall it and make sure you hear a click or it snaps in. try head cleaning cycle from the utility and print a nozzle check pattern. If same output maybe carts are bad. If that is a genuine epson ink cartridge, call epson and have the ink cartridges replace since they are new ones and for sure epson will send inks since you just bought it. make sure you have date of purchase handy.

pls dont 4get to rate solution if it helps... thanks!!
