It has a thermal coupler circuit that shuts it off because something inside is drawing too much current, best thing is to take it in for repair.
That is why it is turning off, to be safe and not burn down the house, the safety ciruit is working....so you need to take it into a repair shop to be fixed.

good luck....

The switch button is not working..

Hi, kindly unplug the unit for five minutes. this will drain all power, and reset the main board. Once the five minutes have passed, simply plug the unit back into the power outlet. If the problem continues, the touch pad should be replaced asap.

My hp laserjet 3330mfp reports a scanner bulb is warming up and it never goes off. I have tried to unplug then plug back in. The printer works fine.

Here is how to cold reset the machine. also I added some addtiona options below as well.

1 Unplug (or turn off) the product from the power source.
2 Press and hold down the * and menu/enter keys.
3 Continue to hold down the keys while you plug back in (or turn on) the product, through the entire power on sequence.
4 When the control panel display reads Permanent Storage Init. release the keys.
5 Allow the product to return to Ready before using the product.

If that doesn't work it can be a power related issue,
- Make sure it's NOT plugged in to a surge protector.-
- Try a different outlet on the wall.
if theses steps fail you will most likely have to replace the scanner assembly

Another Option you can try as well :
Also I found this on a HP forum NOT SURE IF IT ACTUALLY WILL WORK:
" Scanner Bulb Walkout - Unplug the power from the unit, plug the power back in wait until the unit reads "Scanner Bulb Warming Up" Unplug the unit. Repeat this step 5 times.
This should move the scanner assembly back to its home position.

Amps shut down due to, A: Short circuit, B: Overload. C: Over Heating. It is possible that the Output devices inside the Amp. get too hot during use, Are your speaker "Leads" "Big" enough? Is you Power Positive wire the same, Also as you say, Check your Earth. Sometimes a Fan on the output devices helps.

Lg lrm-519 went into demo mode. Can't get it back

follow directions from the owners manual. while unit is powered up, unplug power cord from back of unit - wait 5-seconds. Depress the DVD open/close button while re-plugging the power supply cord to the unit. LG splash appears onscreen and unit goes into re-set. you do not loose any of you programing or settings.
