My web cam won't turn on

If it is sometimes then could be a problem witth the hardware but still you can try reinstalling the drivers.

first you properly install the Web Cam Software, then you open the Yahoo messenger and again access the web cam. I hope it will work fine. sometimes yahoo messenger not access to Web Cam, that time yahoo messanger not working properly.

we all know that windows has this autodetect hardware, but sometimes we need to check if it has the right driver for it.
1.goto start menu.
2.control panel
3.add hardware.

Try do uninstall all Webcam specific applications(Like YouCam), and close all webcam enabled application(like Live Messenger).
sometimes they conflict with skype.
install latest drivers for your webcam if you don't have them already
Go in the skype settings and set up your webcam.
Now you should be good.

Could be a driver not registering properly when starting. I'd reinstall the CD software program that came with the camera.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Hey there Sparky, Having trouble with your web cam huh? Just look on your settings for you Messenger sometimes you have to add the web cam to your messenger in order to start using it first.

Replace your webcam with approve microsoft product sometimes webcam with out seal or logo of microsoft doesnt work at all. Because it is not compatible to the OS of your pc.

I just bought a new web cam, i was having a hard time installing it. The pc can detect the web cam but it cannot install the drivers.

MAKE SURE THAT THE DISC THAT CAME WITH THE WEBCAM HAS DRIVERS IN IT.

1.Insert disc, right click your cdrom drive(example D:) then click explore. There must be a folder for drivers. Sometimes the setupexe file is not enough to make the webcam work
