The 'lid locked' button keeps beeping in the middle of the cycle and the machine won't go past the rinse mode.

I have found the manual and it is hopeless. I have figured out that it is the spin mode which is not working and the lights and beeping are just to tell me something is wrong.

    What next?

I have a simpson SWT955 washing machine. The beeper goes off when it comes to the spin cycle and it will not spin. I have tried emptying out the tub and no luck. Is it really broken or can I fix it?

It is broken - AND you can fix it.

It appears your main controller board has failed.

What is the exact model # please?
Thanks!

This may indicate a bad fitting lid, or the sensor (more likely) is faulty or is giving false readings to the main board. The safety switch used on the lid, is malfunctioning, sometimes they are magnetic, others a switch, you need to obtain a service manual for your exact make and model. this has troubleshooting steps and parts numbers too.

Will not cycle to wash to rinse to spin

If your lid switch is broken it won't go past the wash mode because the control thinks the lid is open.

My 3 year old lg w/machines lid lock keeps beeping through almost an entire cycle, also doesnt spin or rinse properly..what could be the problem???

It is probably the lid switch itself. They get bent sometimes. Try to adjust it if you can. It may be bad. That is why it is probably beeping. The lid lock will cause all of this.

if the lid lock is activating then testing it electrically wont help. you say that the lid lock is working when you manually put the lid lock in the closed position., is that correct?if it is, does the machine work on the spin cycle once you have manually activated the lid lock? have you checked for damage to lid? please reply 4 more help.
