For the first step, try using the button on the TV itself.
Secondly, check if the power cord is snug, and not burnt. Sometimes after a blackout, there would be a power surge, and that might burn your plug.
If both doesn't work, the fuse in your TV may be blown, or the Power Supply may also be burnt too. If this happens, you're going to have to hire an expert to help replace the broken parts.
Note that in some TV models, the fuse can be replaced by users. If this is your case, try checking the fuse to see if it's blown or not.
Hello, All you have to do is to first check the power cable and the power source socket to check if they are okay, if they are okay , you then open up the back cover of the television and check for blown fuses, most times they comes in small size for HDTV TELEVISION, but if otherwise the power supply board is dead.Tries Websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a reburbish power supply board for the replacement. Hope this helpout.....
The first thing you should do is open it up and check for a blown fuse. I have serviced several LCD TVs with blown fuses on their powerboards, and I assume plasma TV's use conventional fuses as well. You should be able to bring the fuse into radioshack for a replacement.
this one has a few bad caps in the power supply,C5 and C6 330mf at 450volt and Q6,Q8 are problably bad part number K2372,you mite want to replace the power supply board part number BN96-00249A
The power supply board itself maybe the main problem inside the TV. Or, it maybe something simple like a blown fuse. Replacement fuses can be found at Radio Shack or some other electronic supply store.
If it turns out the TV keeps blowing fuses, the main power supply may need to be replaced. You can find replacements at a good price at Shopjimmy.com
