Question about Heating & Cooling

Model MD200TBE. Can not get ignitor to work. Unscrewed top button. Only the top button, spring, and the ignitor about 2 inches below. Is this missing a part? I can't see how the spring would be able to reach the ignitor. tks

Can I adjust the regulator to lower the flame?

Hello Douglas;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

What bothers me is that changing these components increased your flame size?

1.) Make sure you have the correct gas safety valve. These valves are preset to inches of water column.

2.) The ignitor has nothing to do with your flame size. What happens is the oven thermocouple controls your oven temperature. When your oven get about 40 degrees above the set temperature, the ignitor and controlling gas components will shut down. When your oven temperature falls below the set temperature the ignitor and gas components will turn back on. There are ovens called accurate, which are expensive and do not have a 80 degree swing.

3.) Ok. Gas regulator. It is adjustable. Generally you have about a 7" water column pressure going into the regulator and 1" to 4" water column pressure coming out.

At the top of the gas regulator you have a long stem. Inside this stem is a shaft with a spring at the top and a valve at the bottom. In between is a rubber diagram which controls the valve based on the gas inlet and outlet pressure.

4.) Adjust. Turn the gas supply off to the range. Turn on the oven and gas burners to bleed the gas from the system.

There is a slot at the top of the stem. With a flat head screw driver, turn the stem top 1/8 of a turn counter clockwise to reduce the regulator outlet pressure. Turn the gas supply back on to check the flame. You may have to repeat this process to get your desired flame.

BE PATIENT. BE SAFE.

How to replace igniter on kenmore gas dryer

by the number you provided its made for kenmore by whirlpool, you need to take a thin putty knife and at the top of the front cover slip the putty knife in at about 4 inches from each side and pop the top cover up,then raise cover and support in the upward position so as not to break the wires from the control panel, then inside at the 2 top corners of the front panel there will be 2 screws( 3/8") remove these and tilt front cover outward, then unplug door wire harness and set front cover aside, from there you can access the ignitor from there below the drum, use a 1/4" nut driver to loosen the screw that secures the ignitor and unplug the 2 white colored wires at the plug connected to the ignitor, then replace the ignitor(its a flat style ignitor on these units) also be careful to NOT touch the new ignitors carborundum tip as doing so will make it burn out soon due to the oil on your fingers, only hold it at the porcelin body part, then reverse dis-assembly to put unit back together

Is the ignitor you need for the oven, stove top surface burners. If for the oven is it about a inch or so in round diameter and about 4-6 inches long with 2 wires to it and glows when oven is turned on?
the very old ignitors for the oven was a square/rectangle glow plug about a inch or so square

How do i replace front dash power point in my f-150 2005 model

You will need to pull the center trim panel from around the radio.

Open the ash tray, and pull on each lower corner to release the spring clips. Once the 2 bottom clips are released, work you way up to the top, there are 3 spring clips on each side ( circled in black in the picture below ).

Be cautious when you get to the top of the center trim panel, the Passenger Airbag Deactivation ( PAD ) indicator has very small AWG wire on it, and if you pull too hard they can be damaged ( circled in Green )

Once you have the released from the spring clips, you can jsut set it off to the side or remove it ( HVAC clamp over connectors and the cigar lighter circled in blue, could also have the Park Aid button and traction Control button if equiped ). The Power point can be reached from the area below the radio, tabs lock it into place.

I have a GE Gave oven. THe top burnes work and the broiler works but when I set the oven to BAKE, nothing happens. THe digital display says it is pre-heating, but it doesnt get hot??

you have a bad ignitor, take out the racks and remove the floor of the oven, you'll see the round ignitor with two 1/4 inch screws holding it on,you can remove the burner tube that the ignitor is connected to with the ignitor on it or you can remove the screws, cut the wires close to the old ignitor and remove it,screw on the new ignitor, leave around6 or 8 inches of wire on the new ignitor, cut back the old wires so you can wire nut the wires together, start the oven and the ignitor should ignite the flame in like 20 to 40 seconds.it doesn't matter what wires you connect, you don't have to worry about if the left wire coming out of the ignitor connects to the same wire the old one connected to,just as long as the wire nuts are tight on the 2 connecting wires you'll be fine.the part number is WB13K21 and the ignitor is around 80 bucks.you can kill the power to the oven but no power is going to the ignitor if the bake isn't on so as long as you don't touch anything else you'll be fine, let me know how you make out

Ignitor not working is there a battery that needs

The electronic ignitor on our Charmglow SS Gas Grill (Model 810-6320-B from Home Depot) was not generating a spark. The battery beneath the ignitor button (cap) had to be replaced. At first, still no spark. Next I used a Dremel hobby drill with a small wire brush head to clean the negative contact within the battery chamber. Also brushed the spring surfaces (battery positive circuit), ensuring good contact when battery inserted & ignitor button re-installed.
Checked wire contacts & gap of electrode tip.
Ignitor is working again!

LG wd8013F bowl support plastic pin fell out. I turned machine upside-down, replaced plastic pin, now doesnt wash or spin.

(A) Set-up
1) The inner bowl is supported by (2) heavy springs at the top, plus (2) telescopic shock absorbers beneath the bowl.

(B) Observed Problem
1) Inner bowl was missaligned, causing out of balance knocking & banging, also drive belt was squealing from misalignment.

(C) Remedy:
1) Disconnect power from outlet.
2) Remove (4) screws from back plate, remove back plate.
3) Bowl is suspended on (2) heavy springs from top, and (2) telescopic shock absorbers below bowl.
4) Inspection showed plastic pin retaining shock absorber end to frame had fallen out.
5) Place old carpet or whatever on floor, invert washing machine.
6) Re-align end of shock absorber into housing piece.
7) Re-insert plastic pin (about 2 inches long x 1/2 inch diameter) securely into place.
8) Re-assemble.

Also:
a) It could be one of the top springs as per (B)1 above may have broken or become loose.
b) In this case the top cover plate is easily removed from machine by removing (2) screws at the rear top of cover.
This gives access to the (2) heavy springs, which are easily repaired.

Note:
Sometimes the machine will not re-start again following out of balance problems.
1) Turn power off again, re-boot like computer.
2) There is also a re-boot procedure similar to Alt+Ctrl+Del on computer.
3) Use three buttons simulateously, Start+spin+option buttons or similar.
4) I fiddled with these until all lights lit up, then after a while the machine worked satsifactorily.

Cheers

Sounds like its working, but nothing happens

I had the same problem with mine, it's due to the fact that the smaller spring has become un-lodged from the ******** itself.

You will need:
1. Roll of electrical tape.
2. Utility Knife
3. A small slot head screw driver OR a pair of needle nose pliers.

The solution is to unscrew the silver ring so that is can be moved up and down. Now, you need to use a utility knife and cut the blue rubber off of the spring. Once you have the blue rubber but off you can see a large spring with another smaller spring inside. Push the head of the ******** till the larger spring's coils are an 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch apart. Next take either the small slot head screw driver or a pair of needle nose and jam the smaller spring back into the hole in the center of the white plastic piece inside of the larger ring. Next plug it in to make sure the vibration is working, reattach the silver piece and tape the larger spring with electric tape.
