Question about Harley Davidson HarleyDavidson FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide
You might have to go though a crash reset. The way to find a reason a fuse blew on any thing is to put a test light across where the fuse goes and disconect things till the ligh goes out. ( a test ligh is an ice pick looking tool with a wire coming out of the end of the handle with a clip on the end, the handle is clear and theres a light bulbinside and it's connected to the wire with the clip and the other side to the ice pick end). Connect this as the fuse and it'll light now remove electrical conectors till you disconected somthing thea makes the light go out sure the ecm is going to draw power but not enough to light the light the same as across the battery. the coil the oxogen sensers. the wire gets against the exhaust and melts and shorts to ground. the ecm has a conector unplug it and see if it stopps the short thenwith the test ligh tconnected to power and touch the end to each conectorin the plug and as the ones light the light follw them to where they go and see if it'sshortedor bad. Might take awhile to test as some of the wires will begrounds.

You either have a wire that is shorted going to the ECM or the ECM is bad itself. Trace the wires between the fuse and the ECM to make sure that none of the wires are grounding out. If all of the wires all check out ok then more than likely something internally in the ECM has shorted.

Evidently it has to be a wiring or a connection issue. The kicker is,
it is under warranty so you shouldn't have to do a damn thing to it and
let the dealer take care of it. I understand that it may mess up any weekend plans that you had, but....
Anyway if you feel the need, you would start buy pulling the fairing and checking the contacts at the back of the ignition switch and pulling the ignition switch off and checking it all out. If you don't find a problem there you would have to trace the wiring.Loosen your right handlebar clamp and make sure the wires are in the grove. If they are pinched you'll blow that fuse. Make sure the switch housing and the handlebar clamp are snug together. Did you have the grips changed at the dealer?
