The photo paper does not grab in my hp photosmart c4180

Go to Control Panel, printer services or preferences. There is a quality tab there. I set it to Best. Then, I take a 1/4 inch stack of paper ad feather it to get some air in between the pages and it works fine. If the paper sits there for a while I have to take it out and feather a stack of it again, but that's all.

My HP photosmart C4180 all in one printer freezes during printing

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

My HP all in one C4400 printer is not working correctly. I hit print and it feeds the paper through without printing anything on it.

Try printing from another application and see if you get the same result. For example, if you are trying to print out of Word, try Notepad or MS Paint.

If so, check and make sure the ink cartridges and/or print heads are installed properly. Has the printer ever worked?

Hope this helps!
