You can download the driver that you need by going to HP's website at http://www.hp.com. Look for software and drivers and then enter the make and model of your printer. Download the driver and install it to your computer then connect the printer and it should work.
Good luck!
You can download the software drivers for support OS versions from HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=397810& .
Vista and Win7 have the appropriate driver built into the OS. For those versions of Windows, plug in the USB cable and let Windows Update install the driver. For most home users, Windows should install the driver without a problem. However, it is possible that the update is not automatic. In that case, open Windows Update (Start > All Programs > Windows Update), Then Check for Updates and check the optional Updates list.
I hope this helps.

(if you have the Bluetooth adapter and your new computer has Bluetooth, see the HP site for more information for the installation. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=397810 )
